For a lot of us, today is filled with cooking, getting ready for friends and family,or traveling to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends or family tomorrow. Austin is no different as he is heading home after a successful USO Tour. Don't know where Jake will be celebrating Thanksgiving yet, but you'd think with his love of cooking he has something he was wants to make and bring wherever he celebrates. Just think the only thing he won't share is his Wild Turkey.
Speaking of Wild Turkey. Going back for thirds because there's more Turkey to feast on.
Austin Sophia and Milo stopped by the Incirlik and Izmir Air Bases in Turkey to show their appreciation to the Airmen of the 39th Security Forces Squadron.
Part of the tour allowed them to meet the law enforcement desk of the base and a chance to airmen and other personnel signing autographs and checking out flack gear that is used in the field. 
No doubt the airmen, civilians and their familie appreciated the visit especially so close to Thanksgiving bringing a little taste of home. But would suspect that Austin Sophia and Milo got even more from the trip and giving back. All will have lasting impressions.
With Turkey done it looks like our favorite bird is flying home today and after a long flight will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family and friends.

Safe travel to all those who are heading to family and friends today, and good luck to all those cooking. (Myself included, as I soon will be off to make the pumpkin pie for tomorrow's festivities.)

just out of curiosity...
i know that many of us harbor some ill will towards reese because she's screwed up our plans for jakey, and while i was driving the bus on that hate convoy for a while, i've really been trying (and happily, succeeding) in getting my animosity in check.
i'm not going to turn into a reese fan - no worries there - but i'm trying to be more fair towards her. so i'm curious: whenever i see her mentioned in casual, off-the-cuff comments, she's usually being portrayed in a less than favorable light.
does anybody have the scoop on that? i mean - she has played some really likeable characters in her movies, and so it's almost confusing to think of her as such an opposite personality in RL.
one of the things that i find endearing about jake (altho it's probably not a great comment about his acting skills) is that he always seems the same in both his movies and his interviews. this past weekend, i went to visit my BFF in FL and we watched DD, which i'd never seen, and Proof, which i'd seen once before. DD was awesome!! I can't believe i've never watched it before. And while Proof isn't great by any stretch, i love Jake in it. He's so adorable... :)
I got to thinking about it, and i think that that very personal facet of jake's acting is part of why many of us have felt so betrayed by him. After watching him act, you really do feel like you know him, and then his interviews and guest appearances just reinforce that. Then, he does a 180 from who you thought you knew, turning mean and hostile which is totally not jake, and hanging out with a woman who has a rep for being Mrs. Unpleasant and dragging us through years of... WHAT?
I am still boggled by the fact that Reeke has lasted this long with zero change or progress. Real or fake, they have to be the most stale couple in the history of the world.
Based on what i read here, it seems that many of ya'll think that his this/the slip up was an initial ref to his job of reekeing, while what he was supposed to say was that getting papped was part of the job of being an actor. If he had just let it go, no one would've thought much about it. It does seem odd that he couldn't be satisfied with that one inconsequential word but felt the need to change it.
Anyway, i'm just blabbing. Watching the movies the other night really helped remind me why i liked him so much for a while.
What do ya'll make of the dearth of reeke photos lately? I find it very strange that the paps have hunted them down relentlessly for years and that now, all of a sudden, they've become invisible.

So glad you got to see Donnie Darko, DD is on my top ten movies list. It's Jakes first iconic role, just like in BBM, you can't think of anyone else as Donnie except Jake.

Paparazzi were interested in the beginning (Reeke playing "are they dating or not?" game), but Reeke are using hot paparazzi spots and arranged so many photo ops that it just looks like paparazzi are after them.

I think someone already summarized Reeke and the paparazzi. They were put on the payroll. It was a manufactured interest after the first wave. PR expected the next Jolie/Pitt. Fans said no thanks, don't like them together, boring to boot. I don't spend any time reading about R, but from reading comments here and at WFT over the years its seems that most directors, actors who have worked with her dislike her when its over. Bitchy, arrogant, controlling, no sense of humor are buzz words. Tolerated when she had box office clout, but not any longer.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a new biking picture. Seems like its about time.
a new biking picture would be awesome, as would some pics of jake bed-heading around nyc with some of his old buds. i miss those pics, when he just seemed like a normal guy that maybe would be fun to know, and not some hot shot movie star that wouldn't give a crap about you, and therefore vice versa.
it's hard for me to like someone who i feel wouldn't give me the time of day, and that's one of the things that has made me sad about jake lately. he's lost his 'approachable appeal.' i don't blame him - in a way - i don't want to speak to everyone i see either, but it was nice to think of him as the guy next door, if that makes any sense.
i wonder if some of his sad faces lately are because of having to deal with her all the time. controlling people can really get old after a while, esp when you don't really love them and want to be with them.

Looks like Ted is saying a lot with this one. Not only saying Jake and Austin are BV's but calling them a pairing. Sounds like Ted is saying in his own special Ted way - they are still together.

Natalie was on David Letterman, and Dave liked Brothers, he couldn't say enough good things about it. Even if he was a little fuzzy on who Jake's brother was in the movie.
