Jake's got the look and no one is immune to the powers of those blues. PoP's bedroom eyes, New Eyes' compassioned concern, People's sexiest stare. The small subtleties make the big differences and makes you wonder what or who is the inspiration behind each of them. Somehow think those PoP eyes might be inspired by a big bird, but don't think it was any of those ostriches. 
Speaking of turkey. Mr. Nichols in Deustchland yesterday. Another autograph session and a weekend filled of meeting greeting the troops and families and tour the base before heading to Turkey.
You think he's going to get schnitzeled this weekend or wait till he gets home? ; )

Not agree, I do like the picture of Jake's character (what is his name in Brothers, anyway?) with Natalie's. That is a nice one. I don't care for Natalie as a blond, though, but oh well. That's just a personal preferance. Maybe they made her a blond so Jake could get into the role; didn't I read somewhere in a BV that he prefers blondes when it comes to women?

LOLLLLL! Now I see what everyone was talking about the teabagging. Geesh, that is hilarious. I can't believe they didn't put him with another animal. You've got Grover, for crying out loud, put him with Grover!! lolll! That's hilarious. I can't believe they used those pictures. That's classic. And the one where he's patting that Octapus on the head. snicker I must have a dirty mind because to me, that picture is soooooo phallic. lollll.
Awwww, poor little octapi. It's a little children's show and I'm picturing mr. octapi as a phallic image. That's just so wrong.
I like Jake's look in Brothers. I'm not a huge fan of the mini buzz cut. He reminds me of my brother when he was little and he used to get a little buzzcut like that. Cracked me up. But I like the rough look.
Disney tried to give him the rough look in PoP but man, that just does not work.
I am telling you guys. They screwed it up when they decided to do his hair the way they did. Screwed. It. Up.
Girls are not going to get into that V05 look. Especially when it's in long hair. Maybe if it had been short, yeah. But probably a prince does need the long hair and they should have left his hair alone and left out the Crisco.
And I think part of it not working, too, is Jake's got large features. In that shot of him with, who is that, a director or something?, his hair is so flat on his head. So when you have large features or say, a round face, you have to have fuller hair so that it doesn't make those features so pronounced. That's just simple hairstyling knowledge.
The clothes are awesome in that movie. Jake had the body for it, just his own body. His own body hair.
Disney messed it up when they made him bulk up, when they landscaped his bodyhair, and when they Crisco'd his hair.
There. That's how I feel on it.

But I'm dead serious. I laugh, but I'm serious. It just pains me because he could have looked awesome in that movie. Maybe the doe eyes would have come out too much. Maybe that's what Disney was overcompensating for. They were afraid of his doe eyes. So they went too far on the other end of the spectrum and in the process, tipped the scale too far the other way.
You almost had me losing my comment, Special. But I managed to save it. Phew!!
The other thing I wanted to comment on was I was over on IHJ and I noticed how low the view numbers are on his pictures.
And it's not like the numbers on his blogs going down. IHJ is a site used by all Jakey G fans. All Jake Fans, the serious moviegoers, the DC fans, the Slash fans, the OMG fans, the WFT2 fans, the WDW fans, the fans who are no longer fans but who can't stay away (lol), whoever. IHJ is a neutral site as far as everyone going to visit just to look at his pictures.
And the number of views on these pictures lately are unbelievably low.
I'm not sure what all that means or where I'm going with that, lol, but it can't be good.
I don't know, Tom, I think Brothers could do well. Not a boxoffice buster, but do well. Maybe it could be a surprise even at the BO. But for Christmastime? It's just not what I want to see. Too dark and it's just so unfair to see these guys fighting overseas and see what war does to them and then to come home and their lives have been forever changed. It's so hard to see. And to see someone moving in on their spouse while they have been at war? I just have a real problem with that. Even in a movie. But that's just me and I certainly am no judge of movies, as you all know. So this is just my own opinion.
The people who need to see this kind of movie are those yo-yo's up in office who are sending our people overseas. See what it does. I doubt whether it would have any impact on them, though.
It does seem like the serious movie goers' kind of movie. I hope it does well for him. I just hope it doesn't glorify the relationship because that just is not something to glorify.
Okay, now I've gone & gotten myself all serious. Got to stop talking about that movie.

The world just isn't as jaded as you think. Austin is off in Germany and soon Turkey doing something I'm sure he is excited and proud to be doing. Traveling to Germany and Turkey to visit our troops and their families during the holiday season. It's unfortunate that so many people on this board choose to label him a fake & liar, someone who would go to such extremes that he would fake a relationship just to keep his private life from being known.
Folks that believe that he goes to such extremes that he involves residents of Wilmington, those who see him at events on both coasts with Sophia, his family, her family, friends and now the USO at the ramstein base and thier families.
The world just isn't as jaded as some beleive and Austin just isn't that phony.

The reason the picture of there is no picture of Sophia and Austin and the fan is that she's a kid,and posting pictures underage fans without any permission, not going to do that.
Interesting that there was one OTH fan who kept tweeting the girl with questions about them being a couple just to get an answer. And funny she said 1) she said they she didn't know they were a couple and they acted like a normal couple, I think much to chargrin of the person who kept tweeting her. And creepier still was that same person tweeting about them having breakfast with the girl's dad on base, when the girl never said anything about that. That is way too over the line.

Re IHJ, at one time it was the only place to see Jake's new photos immediately. Somehow they got them instantly. Now they seem to be out there on many sites at the same time. I stop there once a day, click on the gallery page to see what the latest photo is. If I have already seen it elsewhere, I don't go any further. And that happens almost every time now.

ahh, get over it people. Everyone here knows Austin and Sophia are a couple. They also know Jake and Reese are a couple.
They also know Jake and Austin had a fling that got out and they made a decision and the decision is what we now see. Deal with it.
Some just can't handle the truth so they keep this bearding idea going on, and it will be going on with them 5 more years. Screaming PR is doing this. Jake and Austin are doing this. As soon as posters here comes to girp with this they will continue to play the victim because Jake let them down. Interesting indeed.

I’ve just seen “Brothers” which also opens Dec. 4th and features a trio of well-known actors: Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. For some reason I had only modest expectations for this drama. First, it’s an American adaptation of Suzanne Bier’s extraordinary 2004 Danish original, also called “Brothers” – and remakes can be depressing affairs if you are even slightly familiar with the original. And then these three haven’t exactly been overwhelming us lately. Yet “Brothers” I found to be extraordinarily involving with an astonishing level of performance that began with Maguire’s Oscar-worthy work and continued right down to smaller roles from Sam Shepard as the boys’ troubled, semi-alcoholic military father, Mare Winningham as his maternal second wife, Carey Mulligan (again) in a devastating single scene as a war widow, Patrick Flueger as an unmoored captured soldier and two entrancing children as Maguire and Portman’s daughters: nine year old Bailee Madison and eight year old Taylor Geare.

SNL Update:
Jake is NOT hosting SNL on December 5th. Just announced on the show it is Blake Lively from Gossip Girl with musical guest Rhianna.
That 12/5 rumor never sounded right. They would not have him do SNL during the movies opening weekend.
Trying to say Jake and Natalie hooked up makes me laugh. Probably the same person who has trotted out every girl Jake stood next to in the last 10 years as proof that he is not gay. Look he was in a room with a girl. So transparent.
The only woman I have ever seen Jake have any chemistry with is Jennifer Anniston. Of course he was in an enviroment where he felt very much at home. GLAAD. Actually he beemed that night.

The word on Brothers so far sounds good. I'm glad for him. You know, reading that one guy's review he does say that the family presumes that Tobey's character is dead. I wonder how long they wait. Does this cover several years, I wonder? LOL, I guess I'm just trying to justify.
Oh well, it'll all come out in the wash. Special, I know you'll probably see it opening night. I will ask you to email me and whisper me the ending, then I can decide if I can rent it later.
You know me, gotta know the ending on these dramas. I can't take sad endings.
Well, it's a cloudy, grey morning here. It got downright warm yesterday. My feet seem to have recovered from yesterday. Tough economy down here at the lake this year. Several shops have just closed up and a guy at the furniture store yesterday said you can get a good deal on a vacation home because some people are having to sell their lake houses to prune their debt.
I would like to live down here. It's so relaxing. Except in the summer, I imagine it would be loud & obnoxious.
Well, I need to go write while I have the chance. People up showering and whatnot.
I had some really good catfish last night. It was a filet and it was breaded very nicely. The ol' Happy Fisherman. It's tradition to go there on Saturday night. Got to eat from the Salad Boat. It's a salad bar but it's in a small fishing boat, lol. It's a very campy, touristy type place but we like it. And it is tradition.

Wish he would spend it with his family in NYC, but can't have the golden couple apart on a holiday, what would the public say? Since we haven't had a traditional Reeke photo op in awhile, I'd be willing to be that we not only get a long weekend of Reeke out and about, but we'll also get the Reeke Happy Family photo op. I'm even going to be that the weekend photo ops are in Ojai.

I'm not predicting anything. It's been totally unpredictable for the past couple of months. Not going to sweat it anyway.

For sure that will be a photo for the mantel. Memories of what this wonderful relationship has done for Jakes career. Hopefully now reeke will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
