Crazy Nakey Jakey and Tentpole Nights

There are someone good ways when the Crazy Tree meets PoP (let's just call it training and maintaining you know the flexibility, the cardio, acrobatics, and sword pl...oh stop!) and then there's this:

And this totally not that but it could be what would happen if OTH got their hands on the PoP franchise. This is a crazy so good you have to watch.

The son of Dastan and Tamina comes from the future (or is that the past) to talk to his parents and the rest of the cast and crew of the movie.

Now this is meeting a totally
different crazy all together.

Staying on track of the good kind of Crazy Tree meets PoP and it's all about the nakey, the Nakey Jakey that is.Whaaaa?

Jake said that he was proud of that body he created for PoP and told OK! Magazine.

"I got into shape by doing acrobatics. I also did a lot of horse riding and when it was time to the shoot there were daily workouts and I'd run back from the set to the hotel when we were in Morocco."

And if you think you see of lot of Jake PoPping out now, just wait.

"If you think I'm naked in this movie, you should [see] the movie I did with Ed Zwick, Love And Other Drugs. You'll just have to come back for that one."

God Bless R rated movies and (ones about)little blue pills.

Speaking of tentpoles.

Last night Jake commanded the red carpet with aplomb. Moving from the fans, the press, and major movie stars it was all effortless for Jake.

Instantly putting everyone at ease his down to earth, fun loving, good guy ways shone, he charmed everyone he met.

While the magic of the moment was not lost on him one the big night, it wasn't going to his head either. Don't think any movie no matter how big of a production or big of a box office success could do that to such a grounded guy.

Seeing Jake last night can see how what a man he's grown to be. And not just physically. There is a different sense and aura around him. A confidence and centered-ness, a self assurance. He enjoys the energy of the crowd and the moment, but he show that feeling of needing that energy like he did in the past. That need and that search for that is no longer there. That that need has been filled and it is something that has changed since the last time we saw him do the premiere of one of his movies.

UPDATE on OTH Renewal (2:45PM EST)

From Michael Ausiello at EW.COM

The CW has opted to bring back both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected next season.

There’s no word on the exact episode orders, but I’m hearing both will return for at least 12 eps apiece.

I was able to see Jake, Gemma, Mike Newell, and Ben Kingsley on the red carpet. They seemed very confident and proud of their work, Jake I thought seemed as relaxed as I've ever seen him.

Thanks Sands of Time. I totally got that impression watching it.

Speaking of sand, I think the color of Gemma's dress is all wrong for her and for the cut of the dress too.

Not crazy about Jake's tie either.

The picture of Jake and Tom cracks me up because it looks like Jake is trying to signal anyone to get him out of this photo op while simultaneously speed dial Austin for help.

This is from Radaronline.com

Jake Gyllenhaal
celebrated the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie The Prince of Persia at The Roosevelt Hotel’s VIP only lounge Teddy’s on Monday night, and RadarOnline.com spotted the dimpled hunk toasting with friends Orlando Bloom and Leonardo DiCaprio

The handsome leading men were all sipping scotch and in spite of the lounge’s no smoking rule Leo was puffing on a cigar!

The film’s official after-party was across the street inside the Kodak Theatre but Jake - along with co-star Gemma Arterton and producer Jerry Bruckheimer - quickly left the bash and headed for the uber-exclusive lounge to really let loose.

Seth Green and his new wife Clare Grant also joined in on the fun, and it was clear to RadarOnline.com that the happy couple is still in the "honeymoon phase" since Seth, who never let go of his wife’s hand, couldn’t keep the smile from his face.

The party was hosted by funny-man David Arquette, who not only hit the dance-floor but also took a turn in the DJ booth spinning for the celeb-heavy crowd. Dancing With The Stars alum Stacey Kiebler was also spotted enjoying herself with a group of friends in a plush VIP booth.

After Party

Wonder if Austin was at the unofficial more exclusive after- after party.

I def think now that reeke ended just when it was intended to. No way in hell reese was gonna take a back seat to Jake. All the more those pics from the meeting with bruckheimer when reeke came out looking mighty unhappy was when they were told PoP was pushed back and reeke had to continue. Just makes sense to me. Sure there were some games played with the end of reeke and it didnt go exactly the way someone wanted it to but it ended just when it was supposed to. I also think the Jake and Kristen match up just in time for Brokeback. Its all a game..

Cute clip of Jake with Samantha Harris at last night's premiere.

ET Online PoP Premiere

She asked him about how the ladies he met all over the world treated him and he replied:
"Everybody has been wonderful in every country that we've visited."

Gemma said that Jake was jetlagged. "I think Jake's more jetlagged than I because he's had sort of strange flight times,"

Bet that and coming home with an family who missed him much wore PoP Papa out.

There’s no word on the exact episode orders, but I’m hearing both will return for at least 12 eps apiece.

The net also picked up the Tom Welling-produced cheerleading drama Hellcats and its reboot of Nikita.

Oh, and Melrose Place? It’s officially dead.

EW.COM Ausiello Files

Since Austin was hired as a series regular and now that Julian popped the question to Brooke, looks like he will be.

The one good thing about OTH is that they need drama and crazy to keep it going. So will they really go through with the whole Brulian happy ending wedding or will they have a dog eat someone's heart out? Go Dog Go!

Although some might consider the following traits to be diametrically at odds with one another, I noticed that Jake seemed to exude what might be called a grounded springiness in both his step and in his spirited interactions with everyone on the red carpet last night. He seems to have shed that bouncy, chaotic restlessness that compelled him to strum with energy in his youth, but also fueled a certain kind of unfocused bustle that, at times, was childlike and charming, but often was unsettling and quizzical. I first noticed the change in England , but really saw the full shift at the Los Angeles Premier of PoP. This is a man who has matured and is content with his circumstance. Privately settled and self-assured with that old familiar, but maybe recently renewed sense of fun and wonderment at everything that’s going on around him.

Let's see, I’m pretty certain that such a dramatic shift cannot be credited to Reesy-pooh because she’s already indicated that after 2 years of "coupledom," she luckily came to her senses and realized that Jakey was just too gosh darn selfish and immature for her taste. So I asked myself, again, "What's left that could render some kind of clarity to Jake's sudden mellowness?" Based on my own experiences, I'm thinking there is one, maybe two or three guesses that might explain such a transformation, and it has nothing to do with A-list ambition, monetary gain or selfish vanity. It’s like someone has given Jake the confidence to stand on his own two feet because he somehow knows that falling just won’t hurt anymore. Like his Parkour training, he seems to have mastered the fine art of displacement. Last night, I saw no obstacles in his way, only the clear light of promise and a newly formed man comfortable in his own skin and the path he has chosen. I definitely like what I see.

I don't think that raising a family in the closet is a "normal" life.

I do think he has a family, but I think the maturity in Jake is duie to his age, most guys I know changed a lot both physically and maturity-wise around 28 to 30. It would be odd if he was still acting more like a teenager than a man.

Austin did have some decent scenes, but they did not make up for all the brulain stuff we have to endure. There is also just more of a sense of walking through it or being himself, as opposed to some of the energy he brought last year. Still think OTH has not been a help top his careeer.

Wait - what? said...

I agree with all of this. I don't think living deep in the closet - family or not - is normal (or healthy). And I certainly wouldn't describe it as having it all.

I suspect that emotional maturity is probably much less about age than it is about experience since it is something learned, developed and supported. We've all known many individuals who never reach any kind of serenity or contentment, never mind choose to embrace any kind of nurturing value system, or acquire the knack of being able to direct negative energy into creative and constructive outlets. Inner growth requires the desire to want to be a better person. And, that requires motivation to want to assume resonsibility and strive toward something meaningful and lasting outside selfish interests. Jake exuded a confidence and comfort level last night, I've not seen before. Commitment, responsibility, parenting, staying put when it's easier to walk away, all combine to develop not only a sense of self worth but personal satisfaction. Jake is definitely not momma's little boy any longer, nor Maggie's quirky kid brother. We may disagree with some of his choices, but he seems to be willing to live with the consequences of his decisions. Excepting the good with the bad and having perspective. His humor and good-naturedness tells me he has learned to settle, at least for now, with the closet. Doesn't mean it's always going to be that way, but evidently it's what he needs right now in his life.

Florida Tom said...

That last thought makes me feel real sad M and M.

I know, (((Tom))). Somehow though, I do think Jake will come out. He's just got to do it when he feels the time is right. For whatever reasons, he's not quite there yet.

M and M said...

Oops, sorry! I meant "Accepting" the good with the bad and having perspective.

geez said...

Who in the right mind would feel "personal satisfaction" with kids in the closet??? Please stop insulting Jake.

prairiegirl said...

Thanks, m&m. That was quite a beautiful, so well written comment. I agree with Tom, too. Of course it's sad. But it's also a little bittersweet. I could about guarantee that for all the stress & heartache that they're going through, J&A would not take back having their BT(s). Once you have a child, a parent can't imagine their life without them.

At least I don't feel like I have to hang my head for feeling happy for Jake, for him & Austin, or for them having a family.

I do think this could be absolutely one of the biggest stories going on in HW right now. It's even way bigger than Sandra Bullock's story. I don't know that even back when Reeke was going on that I fully comprehended the magnitude of it all.

M and M said...

Personal satisfaction is a moving target, depending on where one is in their life. I know someone, right now, who is in the closet and that person is making that life choice for the safety of their child. Life choices are not always simple, nor wrapped in big red bows.

Special K said...

Somehow though, I do think Jake will come out. He's just got to do it when he feels the time is right.

I agree M&M. Everyone's journey is different.

I think he has always made the choices he done from one thing, his heart. His love for Austin and their family. Have always thought this from the beginning of this whole ride, even way before kids and Reeke happened.

geez said...

Jake could come out and have a kid if he want one. He is a good person, he wouldn't do something like that to his own child.

Special K said...

Noticed something:

Looking at the footage of the red carpet on some of different shows tonight with their different camera angles, not only did Jake have his go to bodyguard with him, but there was a second bodyguard with him too.

geez said...

What love? Austin's trips to Italy, Turkey or Austria are more important than being with your kid?

M and M said...

He [Jake] is a good person.

I agree.

I do have to say that I'm totally bummed out to hear OTH being partly renewed.

The only thing that might be a tad bit interesting next season is what OTH plans to do with their gay actor storyline. Who knows, maybe Jake will make a cameo appearance as a Hollywood agent. *snicker*

prairiegirl said...

And it kind of makes Sophia look a little silly already promoting her new gig on another show. Not so fast, Nelly...

I dread to think we're probably due for only more Sophin. And then it'll be another nauseating Sophin onslaught when the 12 episodes are up and they have to campaign for another renewal.

oh boy.

Huh said...

If Sophia is promoting her new gig, why would she be using her relationship with Austin to try and get OTH renewed? Can she do both shows?

Special K said...

One thing about OTH being renewed is tat that they will have budget cuts as part of the deal. So be prepared to see some culled from the cast.

Don't think they will get another season after 8. Because they had to beg so hard for this one they got now.

Can they let Brulian have a peaceful engagement? On OTH? No way. Maybe in the end they will have Brooke get married, but they've gotta put some big bumps in the road. Because there is nothing really exciting about their romance even when trying to be romantic. One hope that they write Julian doing more than getting married. Just think Austin seems to spark more with other cast members in scenes than he does with Sophia.

Special K said...

The deal with Sophia was if OTH was renewed she was tied to them and wouldn't not do the other show on ABC.

The pilot she did, was not picked up for the fall on ABC, with or without her.

Really, really funny video clip from Extra with Jake. That is the first time I have truly seen his water-cooler type sense of humor. The guy can be hilarious. He's quick. And he seems very, very regular.

He had that interviewer guy in stitches. More like blasting with laughter, lol. I really enjoyed that.

Another interesting clip I saw somewhere; can't remember which one it was. But Jake asked the interviewer what he/she thought of his hair. I think Jake's words were something like, "Tell me, what do you think of the hair?" as they were looking at all the posters on the walls.

Isn't that interesting. Why the hair? Because it was his hair which took so much criticism?
lol. Aw, Jakey sensitive about the hair.

Well, back on the writing road again. Had a little speed bump but am over it and headed full steam ahead !

I think the extra body guards was simply a matter of expected crowd size. One person can only cover a certain range of field and there were quite a few stars there to keep an eye over. Plus these events are on Disney's dime.

For me the jury is out on Jake and whether neediness has been replaced by maturity. We've seen him in very public venues the last 2 weeks. He is an actor. Have you ever noticed how everyone seems to be having a marvelous time in society page party or gala news photos. Looking fabulous and like you are having a good time is a learned skill. That said, Jake has been through a lot lately. Unpleasant bearding, fatherhood, relationship troubles, bearding had to have caused some fights with Austin, parents divorce, job responsibilities and yes parenthood. All of that would mature anyone and get you stop thinking about yourself so much. I do think that the strain of overt bearding during the Reese days was killing him. I mean that literally. And that he is recovering from it nicely. We need to reexamine the issue 2 months from now when we see him out and about living his life, not promoting a film.

prairiegirl said...

I dunno. I don't think any of us schedules happiness or puts happiness off until a better time.

Plus, this is Jake, who it seems to me often has a hard time disguising his feelings.

I'm not saying that everything's hunky dory right now because he's not able to be out & open as he truly is.

But I look at that Extra TV video and alot of the other video as he's merely walking the red carpet and not on a mike, and I see a guy who was having a great, great time. His eyes looked kind of tired or something in the JJ pics but that could still be jetlag.

Forgetting the restrictive part of his life right now, the daily life with a little one brings an entirely new kind of happiness & fulfillment to a person. Within their walls, I would imagine he lives in a house of love & acceptance experiencing all of the joys and ack! moments of a new parent.

I rather like that we've not been seeing him since he got back from London. Nor Austin. There was the sighting by that blogger but sounds like he was just doing something rather ordinary. I would like to think that rejuvenation and repowering is being sought with his family as much as possible while gearing up for the heavy blitz that will happen next week.

Jake was in the studio in LA doing Sport Centers Top Plays of the day.

When have Broadway and Madonna make it in the Top 10 plays? When Jake comments on them they do. Besides go to "flashing some leather" when talking about some great catches, at that Rondo was on fire in playoffs, but then a slide in home on one play, he said there's a leg up like Broadway, and on a great 5-3 (catch at 3rd base with a throw to 1at for an out) he described like Madonna's Ray of Light.

But Jake said he was both a Lakers AND Celtics fan. IS that even possible? Talk about a split personality.

The Lakers are his hometown team and he give then props by hand on his heart, but said that his friends are from Boston and are all Celtics fans. And that he lived in Boston some (Vineyard - Boston, we get it Jake) so he is Celtics fan too. If there is a Celtics Lakers final who'd he have to go for? Of course the Lakers.

Will let it slide Jakey - since you love the Sox and the Patriots.
