Jakey with a K

Can the Prince top Four Queens (of Fashion) this weekend.

Its going to be a Showdown in the Sand and the girls ladies aren't playing nice.

They took it to the dessert too and now they've pulled out as their secret weapon.

Liza with a Z

(who will officiate Anthony marriage to Stanford)
for the smack down on Jakey with a K.

The Ladies want that Box Office and they're not afraid to throw down for it.

So let's get ready to get it on.......

Mono a Mono

Diva a Divo

Premiere Red Carpet:
Doing the editorial bend.

New Hip no bend?

Got give this one to Jake, grrrl that was fierce.

Sparkle Factor:
Jake gets sparkly when he turns back time.
Liza sparkly throughout time.
Liza all the way.

Bombs away
He gets photobombed by Oscar nominees

And he photobombs Oscar winners.

She gets bombed by these two and one of them is already bombed herself

Jake takes!

Iconography
His role as a gay cowboy in love, iconic.

"Some have labeled me as a gay icon. Well, no shit, Sherlock."
Liza telling the audience at a Straight for Equality benefit.
She's not only an icon her own but Momma is Queen Icon.

Advantage Liza by Momma factor.

It's tied!

Have to go to the talent competition.

Hey now that's not fair! Ok, take out all the the Broadway, Film. and Stage stuff and just say current for this weekend

How can Jake compete with this from the Sex and the City soundtrack?

It just may have to be settled on Jimmy Fallon tonight. Mario Cantone does a Liza with a whole lot more than just Z. Liza by Proxy.

Think Jake can take 'em both? And take the box office too?

Dear Ted:
Do you think Toothy Tile has made a deal with the devil? I mean, he's a family man—a father (according to you) and in a committed relationship with a wonderful partner. Yet he has to hide his loved ones in order to appear on billboards and movie posters all over the world. Do you think it's all about the adulation or the money? I can see him saying, I don't need all the money of a Fey Oiled Tush, but, how many actors could give up the kind of adulation that comes along with a major studio's backing? It's so sad that Hollywood forced him to make such a choice!
—TDB

Dear Sad-Face:
Are you nuts? This is business as usual in Hollywood, which has more self-hating gays than any other spot in the world—and that's saying plenty.

Dear Ted:
My guess for Toothy Tile and Grey Goose is Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Am I close, or way off? Love your column, it totally gets me thru the day. And thank you for all your shout outs and tireless efforts supporting animal shelters. I have a Russian Blue who is blind in one eye after being abandoned in a gutter and my family wouldn't be the same without him! Kisses.
—Lili

Dear BV Blunder:
Kisses to your kitty who sounds fab, which makes me sad to say your guess is a no-go. Maybe those dudes have
other Vices?

Dear Ted:
First off, Happy Birthday AT! Been an avid fan since 2001, wish you at least 2 more decades of decadent reporting! We are still waiting for Toothy Tile to at least open a bit his closet door, for Jennifer Aniston to really fall head over heels with a good guy, for Angelina to finally drop Brad and hook up with...? Who knows, who cares. You were the first to report on the reality of Robsten, even if here in Canada we did not see a thing while they were filming, and Toothy still drawing unsuspected females like flies to honey! My favorite AT couple that never happened? Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz, that couple was all sex and very wild. NK never looked better. But tell us Ted, which Blind Vicer you would like to see revealed soon, and why? You always have calculating reasons we don't always see! Keep up the great work, and again, Happy Birthday!
—Rita

Dear Blow Out The Candles:
Thanks, Rita, hope to stick around for another 32 decades, too. Completely agree about Nic and Lenny—it was Nic's last sexy beast era. And as for the DL dude I'd most like to see come out? Heck, why not all of 'em. That'll mean things are changing in H'wood
.

Dear Ted:
What's going on with Robert Buckley that he's gone from this to this? Don't get me wrong! He's a gorgeous man either way—and I know you don't keep all those muscles without hours in the gym every day—but you're always going on about the Hollywood mystery diets and how unhealthy they are for the young starlets, so what do you think is behind Robert's weight loss? Are the producers forcing him to unnaturally slim down? Does he have contract nervosa? Or is he just naturally a bean pole when he's not in the gym? If it's fair game to remark on every starlet's 5-pound loss or gain, then it's fair for the boys, too.
—M

Dear Fear Not:
Most likely the last one, babe. Rob is finally on a show where he doesn't have to be shirtless the whole time to get scenes, so he doesn't have to stay beefed up all the time. A relief for him, but kind of disappointing for us, huh?

Ted is talking about "business as usual in Hollywood", so it's not about Jake.

Jake on Regis & Kelly. Gellman's little girls loved the movie. Sound like Jake is going to be big hit with all the kids after this one.

Jake in a great mood, laughing and relaxed having a great time. And oh working a lavender shirt with a blue suit. (devastating combo for those blue eyes)

Talked about growing up and performing under Maggie's monarchy and the famous Cats story of him and his bowl of milk.

Kelly couldn't help but comment on his poster that's in her son's room. Again kids are loving this movie.

M and M said...

Wow! Ted is pissed today. I don’t think he was directly calling Jake a self-hating gay man, but he sure was explicitly stating that he’s become just another casualty of the Hollywood Closeted 10% Machine. Adulation, fame, and money can’t compare with a “just another day at the office” mentality of those who still pull the strings in Tinseltown. Reminds me of the provocative comments Jake made in that What, Me Funny? Prince of Persia article that Special posted yesterday:

What would you change if you could travel back in time?

JAKE: “I don't know if I would change anything, but I would like to go back and see my birth….I started acting since my birth! That's why I want to go back and see it!”
And then….

JAKE: “There isn't a movie. I told you, I came out acting at birth. There were no movies in the womb. I was born in the atrium of a film agency. The agents pulled me out themselves! "We've got him! Ten percent!" The agents know how to search wombs to find for talent.”

Humor can hide a lot of things, including a hyperawareness of one’s full awakening to the world around them. Jake seems to be saying that omnipresent forces have molded and shaped his life since the womb and that he has performed on queue since he was born. Acting and pretending is in his DNA. What an interesting observation. Seems like Jake has moments where he might like a do-over, or at the very least a chance to be reborn again in true Buddhist fashion. Wonder if he will ever have the strength to be the master of his own fate. He's almost 30. Maybe it's time for a change?

Special K said...

There is something about decades that bring change or sometimes making want to do something radical and unexpected.

From all the talk about wombs and going back to birth and especially the part that it all seemed pre-ordained despite who he really was (ie gay) and that he had no choice. It seems like there is a conflict between what he wants and the way the systems work.

And I think that's what Ted is saying, I don't know if he is singling Jake out, but showing a perpetuating problem in Hollywood. And many of those in power are gay themselves yet create this situation for gay performers.

Did anyone else catch Jakes answer when Kelly asked him about Maggie having a "baby"?

He said "She has a niece. She has... I have a 3 year-old niece."

Just misspoken or did Kelly calling Ramona a baby throw him off and his mind went to Baby Tile(s)?

M and M said...

Oh, I don't think Ted's singling out Jake at all, but rather the business as usual mentality of Hollywood perpetuated by powerful individuals, many of whom are gay themselves. Jake is part of that world of fakery just by virtue of his profession and whom he chooses to love.

Special K said...

Must correct myself. It wasn't blue suit but gray. Who knows what I was thinking looking at him in another good suit. Just too many good ones I guess. Liked his outfit for Kimmel tool great suit with a causal polo.

It's also clear to me with Goose's lastest escapades that there will no coming out until their careers are dead and BT is an emotionally fucked-up adult.

Only an insane person would hide a kid for a long time in order to stay in the closet - so Jake will come out soon or there is no BT.

destiny said...

HW is full of insane people, and I still haven't discounted a marriage and adoption. Jake couldn't stand Reese and/or she wasn't up for it, but Sophia and Austin don't seem to have any issues that way, and we know they all love the sham marriages over at the CW.

Adoption by Austin and Sophia? No, if there is BT I'm sure Jake would never do anything like that.

I think Jake just misspoke - BT would be Maggie's nephew, not niece. I think even Ted said the child was a boy?

M and M said...

Could be there is a BT2, as some have speculated, and that child is a girl. Since they were talking about Ramona, Jake might have been thinking that Maggie has a niece just like he does. That was a very interesting gaffe. I hadn't viewed the clip until now. He does catch himself and change his wording.

Since the topic was brought up so early in the interview, I think Jake's guard might have been down. Who knows for sure, but it is undeniable that he said she (Maggie) has a niece.

All I see it's people who are ready to claim any crazy theories to prove their belief. I don't know if I have to laugh or cry but Destiny please, even if I know you are giving your " feelings" , allow me to think HW isn't the only place full of insanity!

destiny said...

No Bomer. :-( Only Dekay. They were just setting up this morning, so I was good and came in to work, then ran up there at lunchtime.

Too bad he wasn't there, because I was able to get a lot closer, on the same sidewalk right at the edge of the scene, and at one point DeKay wandered over to the building I was standing in front of to get some of the ac blasting out of the door--it is miserably hot here today--and he was probably only a couple of feet from me. Imagine if that'd been Bomer! I was too shy to say anything to him.

Please, there is only theoretical possibility that BT exists, no way there is BT2, kids demand more time and attention than pet turtles.

Special K said...

Went back and listened to that part again a couple times and I heard what you said Stubborn.

"She has a niece... I have a 3 year-old niece."

Don't think Jake see Ramona as a baby anymore. If there are two BT's the littlest one would be the youngest and probably is still considered a baby, vs. toddler. And the tiniest tile just may be a girl.

Looking around haven't found anything that says that Peter has any siblings, so the possibility of a Sarsgaard niece looks off the table.

You might right about his guard being down. Might have been expecting another line of questions from Regis, especially talking about running all around town. Last time they asked him what he was doing for fun and who he was out with. He might have been all prepared for that question again and got thrown off when they asked about Maggie and babies.

lurker said...

"She has a niece... I have a 3 year-old niece."

You know, there is the possibility that he meant to say "She has a 3 year-old daughter" but b/c Ramona is his niece, he had that word in his mind. Perfectly logical and not impossible. I've done the same type of thing myself when speaking - everyone has.

M and M said...

Certainly that's a possibility, but like any kind of speculation/analysis, the most credible answer is usually the sum total of many factors and previous statements. Jake has amassed a slew of suggestive moments and comments, since he began to emerge from the protected cocoon of Reeke (just look at previous discussions here since November 2009). Including, the timing of Reeke itself, which officially/suspiciously went public just about the time BT would have been born in 2007.

Stubborn TB said...

But wouldn't the correction have been "She has a 3 year-old daughter" instead of "I have a 3 year-old niece"?

He clearly started to say again "She has..." so he was thinking from her perspective, so why start twice instead of just finishing that thought? That's usually what you'd do and seems to be what he first wanted to do.

Lego said...

May 25 (Bloomberg) -- Lego A/S, Europe’s biggest toymaker, wants to double its U.S. market share in the next five years with board games and building bricks based on Walt Disney Co.’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” and “Toy Story 3” movies.

“The American consumer has returned,” Chief Executive Officer Joergen Vig Knudstorp said in an interview at Lego’s Billund, Denmark-based headquarters. “The U.S. market will be increasingly important for us, it’s the priority.”

Lego, which signed its first Disney license in the 1950s, will boost its U.S. market share to 7 percent or 8 percent by 2015 from the 4 percent it has at the moment, the CEO said. The company won’t be able to duplicate the 15 percent share it has in some parts of northern Europe, as it has difficulties gaining a foothold in the U.S. south and rural areas, Knudstorp said.

Lego, which estimates children spend five billion hours every year playing with its multicolored bricks, sells about 160 million boxes of Lego annually.

Lego was founded in 1932 and sells its products in more than 130 markets. The company is owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandson of its founder. He is the world’s 258th- richest man, worth about $3.5 billion, according to Forbes.com.

obvious says: there are kids in Jake's life and those kids are Ramona and Matilda, Jake said so himself.

I would hate to go through life only accepting what appears to be the "obvious" answer to uncertainty. What's really happening, particularly in Hollywood, is often times neither obvious, nor sensible, nor necessarily wise. Smoke and mirrors deceive and distort so what appears to be apparent and straightforward can be easily obscured by special effects masters who are paid very well to create a world of illusion and present a public image to the largest demographic possible.

social services said...

Sorry M and M, but that is bullshit.

Selling fake public image or staying in the closet to make more money is one thing.
Hiding and not doing what's right for your own kid just to make more money is despicable and has nothing to do with good, old Hollywood publicity machine.

You obviously missed my point. You sure do love to insert value judgments and condemn others for how they live their lives. Must be difficult to be so perfect. Guess the obvious, is not always so obvious for you, is it?

social services said...

No, I didn't miss the point because you failed to make one.

Looks like you missed all OMG Reeke discussions. Regular and not regular OMG posters said 1.000.000 times that Jake's bearding was a bad thing, homophobic, worst part of being closeted. No one had any problem with inserting value judgments.

Some of those posters forgot about those days and don't have balls to admit that keeping kid(s) in the closet can't be good.

Meg said...

Have finally paid my money and been to see PoP. And I have to say its not half as bad as I thought it was going to be. It is incredibly cheesy, the friend I went with said at the end "10 out of 10 for cheesiness", but it is pretty good fun in a rather forgetable way. Lots of RSC actors (especially Ben K) slumming it and working for their pension funds. And without the Alfred Molino sections it would have been abit draggy.

Jake either looks really sexy or like a sweaty bassett hound (which I suppose has its appeal) and I can't decide whether his voice was dubbed or not (if not, good accent work) and the (maybe) CGI abs are not as distracting as you would think. Gemma Atherton is lovely to look at but her charms seems to be lost on Jake (wonder why?)

With regard to the audience, it Wednesday so its buy one get one free here in the UK, main city centre cinema, early evening showing, cinema was maybe just under a half full. Not brilliant but suppose it could be worse.

Final thoughts, its an okay film, but is it worth almost 3 years of pretending to be Reese Witherspoon's girlfriend... the answer (in my mind) would be a definate NO!.

Meg said...

Sorry think I made a bit of the Freudian slip in my last set of ramblings (6:21). Its should have been RW's boyfriend, what was I thinking.

That is a whole different discussion. We were not exchanging thoughts about what Jake was doing was right or wrong. We were talking about whether there is a BT or BT2, based on his gaffe from his interview this morning. Try to stay on topic.

Jake is notorious for his slips of the tongue. Why else do you think the questions being asked of him during this promo are so repetitious. PR is a nervous wreck over what he might accidentally say. We've seen it happen many a time.

I've watched so many videos in the last 24 hours, I cant recall one from the other. But I did catch one other tell. Jake was asked a question and started talking about relationships. His left hand drifted to his pinky ring and he began toying with it while he was talking. I wish I could remember which clip it was but they are all a blur now.

Back to the latest Sophia Austin spiel. I find it odd that the beards consistently wind up emasculating the men they are bearding for. Silent resentment seeping out?

No, m. It's because women hold the power in all female/male relationships. But it's not about emasculation. Unless you want it to be.

Jake Says Movies Help Him Relive The Childhood He Never Had

"It can be argued how much of a childhood I had," he explained. "I don't think I wanted to be a kid then. And now I do. I think that's primarily the reason for doing this.

"For a while I thought that to be a skilled actor you had to do things that were torturous. Now I feel more like having fun and enjoying myself.

"I just try to do the movies that I love to watch. In this movie we're wearing these big belts and I was thinking of Star Wars. I was wearing a suit that made me think of Aladdin. Those are the things that touch the kid in you."

This makes you wonder about a lot of things. Talk about loaded quotes.
