This is Hug(h)e!

Back in 2009 OMG predicted the coming of  Hughenhaal

And we were right!

It's official! Wooly Jake will be teaming up with Wolverine in the new movie  thriller Prisoners.

"Written by Aaron Guzikowski (“Contraband”), story revolves around a small-town carpenter named Keller (Jackman) whose young daughter and her best friend are kidnapped. After the cops fail to find them, Keller takes the law into his own hands, but in the process runs up against Detective Loki (Gyllenhaal), a hot shot cop with confidence to burn, assigned to the case."

Jake will once at again pick up the badge and gun this time moving up the ranks to that of Detective. Looks like he stuck on the Thin Blue Line one more time.

Back then OMG suggested a solution to the tight finances of Hollywood with Hughenhaal which " harnessing the powers of science and comics, Hollywood will merge two actor to form one entity. Starmergance has devised a way to locate similar stars and create a third Hollywood and PR entity with a mean age of 34."

But the reality is just casting both in the same medium budget film.

Now teaming up with Hugh could be a good thing, there's someone on set to duet with on all the Broadway classics, (Hugh did The Boy from Oz),

someone spot for you working out,

and Jake will have to ditch the beard.  Why?  Because his wild and wooly beard of Biblical proportions is no match for those massive mutton chops.

I belive this role will demand a girlfriend. Be prepared for a good show this time.

And what do you base this belief on, Thomas?

Prisoner being a thriller it seems it would be more about Hugh and Jake's characters interacting, than if the detective has a girlfriend.

Coming to you LIIIIIIIIIVVE!!!! From Santa Cruz Califor-NIA.

Yup, yup, yup, it's us -PG and M&M.

Here to terrorize northern California just as we did about 1/2 yrs ago.

We are seaside enjoying a little hor de Cheez-Its with a variety of libations.

;D

Okay, M&M says I'm making Santa Cruz sound bad.

The TRUTH is....the Inn has a selection of cucumbers, carrots, dip, radishes, broccoli, cheese & crackers, brie, brownies, coffee, teas, wine and a big ol' honkin' jug o' chilled water that has limes floating in it. I don't think it's a limeaide, though. Think it's just water with limes like when you ask for water in a restaurant with a slice of lemon.

Just an incredible drive here. I saw some of THE tallest trees ever. I've never seen trees like this. They're sooooooo tall and the trunks are real narrow. And so many hills. Brown hills because M&M says that they won't turn green until it's winter.

And I could even smell them as we drove through. And then when we walked down on the wharf, you could smell the fish and the waves hitting the beach was so loud. Lunch took place on the wharf where we had an ocean view and this huge pelican came flying right beside the window.

There's a carnival along the beach and it looks like what I always imagined Coney Island may look like.

I saw a guy paddling on his surfboard down in the ocean when we were driving. I thought maybe it was Austin for a second but he didn't have the black wetsuit on. ha ha, yeah, that's a weak one. I think the sea air has taken a little edge off of my normal wit.

Anyway, that is the Travel Channel Report as PG Sees It. Day 1. M&M, do you have anything you wish to share with the class?

Cucumbers and carrots! That still makes us look bad! We are having a wonderful time though. Great ocean view and no screens on the window allowed a rogue fly to zip on in. He found out we didn't have a good wi-fi signal though so he packed his bags and skedaddled. Remember, even the insects are tech savvy over here. :-)

Tomorrow, Monterey and Carmel. We're getting closer to Big Sur and the Post Ranch Inn. If you know what I mean, fellas. ;-)

I have to say that I'm not into the sound of Jake's new movie. It's just another cop/detective/intrigue "thriller".

We all know Hugh Jackman is a rogue in his roles and in physical looks. Plus I believe he is a huge closet case of the worst kind. He actually married his beard and yet carries on and hides his real life. Nothing at all to admire there.

I'm sure he'll share tips with who will probably become his new protege, Jake, and we'll be hearing stories of how Hugh Jackman, like Michael "Mike" Pena, will be coming over to dinner and first-hand witnessing how Jake's personal life focus is now on Maggie and her family. I'll especially look forward to perhaps some photo ops which will include Jake with his brother-in-law Peter because we have certainly been witnessing how close those two have become.

Correction: Here to terrorize northern California just as we did about 1/2 yrs ago.

It was 1 1/2 years ago. It was last Memorial Day weekend, I believe. grrrrrr, hate type-os.

One final trip anecdote. M&M and I had a brief interaction with one of Santa Cruz's Finest. This Man in Blue, who was actually a Man in Tan (but then again, this is sea & sand country) certainly came across as a badass but yet at the same time, he came across as merely human, probably capable of just about any kind of relationship. So we weren't hesitant to inquire of him as to whether he was one of Jake's 3 Closest Cop Friends, being that we are in the general vicinity of his haunts. But the convo was interrupted by a call. And he had to zip awayyyy!! to do his civic duty.

So that's 3 of the approximately 6 regular commenters who haven't seen EOW. This is very interesting.

Polling, bug off with your polling. You don't know squat as far as who has seen EOW. What difference does it make how many OMG regulars have seen the movie nor is it any of your business.

Someone is upset by some of the comments they have seen here today or else they don't have a sense of humor.

Have fun girls. Why dont you try hitting a few at Peeble Beach. Carmel is gorgeous, Check out the Lone Cypress PG. It has been a long time but I presume it is still there.

Maybe I should have said this morning that this movie will require a beard.
