Just watched that video of Reeke at Splash News. They're in Santa Monica. It looks like Reese is not wearing any makeup yet again. Probably because Jake is so in love with her that he doesn't care what she looks like. Look for her to gain 100 lbs. soon too. Jake loves her for herself obviously.

OT side note- I LOVE the Olympics! I will watch absolutely any sport that is Olympic. If they had Olympic jacks, I would watch. I have watched curling in the Olympics and had no idea what was going on, but it was Olympic, so I had to. And the Olympics are the only time they show swimming in the US, so of course I love it.
One of great things about being out is being able to talk about your partner's family like that. When you're in the closet the ways in which you have to censor yourself are too numerous to count.

I usually hate Gwyneth. The Mrs. and I saw Iron Man (FULL DISCLOSURE- I love Downey and if there was a film of him just reading the phone book, I would probably see it!) this weekend I didn't mind Gwyneth at all. I also thought she and RDJ and pretty good chemistry. I was shocked. Iron Man was great, BTW. But I admit I am biased.
Great post today, love Interpol as well. I actually really like Gwyneth, ever since Shakespeare in Love, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and I thought she was fabulous in Proof - thought she did a great job playing someone who is depressed, and part of that is being offputting. She succeeded, but that was her character. I liked Jake in it too. Haven't seen Iron Man yet, but loved the previews for it - I really like RDJ.

Glowing, radiant, happiness oozing out of every pore. I don't think I have ever seen him look happier than on that day. Furniture shopping day maybe a close 2nd.

What a great story about the diver. I wonder if we'll get a profile of him during the network television coverage of the Olympics, like they sometimes do, or whether they'll shy away because he is gay. I can't recall hearing of other out Olympic atletes like that.
The Olympics are not something I go out of the way to watch, especially in the summer, between being out enjoying the weather and not enjoying the summer events as much as the winter ones, although I do like to watch the diving and swimming. But I will admit that when I do think to turn them on I immediately get sucked in.

Interesting story from Columbia, SC-
A South Carolina high school principal said he'll resign from his post after the district approved an organization for gay students that conflicts with his religious beliefs.
Eddie Walker, the principal of Irmo High School in Columbia, S.C., announced his intention to step down to faculty and students on Wednesday, saying he'll end his tenure following the 2008-09 school year. The decision, outlined in a letter to Lexington-Richland School District 5 officials, said the reason was the formation of a Gay-Straight Alliance Club for students.
"Allowing the formation of this club on our campus conflicts with my professional beliefs and religious convictions," Walker wrote in the letter, obtained by FOX affiliate WACH-TV.
Lexington-Richland School District 5 couldn't stop the club from forming because federal law prohibits discriminating against a club based on its purpose, spokeswoman Michelle Foster said.
"Attorneys have advised the school district that prohibiting the formation of this club would most certainly result in a costly lawsuit," the district said in a statement posted to its Web site. "Similar lawsuits in other parts of the country have been defended unsuccessfully."
The only other recourse would be to ban all non-curricular clubs, officials said.
Walker said the club — which he said would be the first based on sexual orientation, preference or activity at the school — conflicts with the school's abstinence-only education and may prompt students to have sex.
"I feel the formation of a Gay/Straight Alliance Club at Irmo High school implies that students joining the club will have chosen to or will choose to engage in sexual activity with members of the same sex, opposite sex, or members of both sexes," he wrote.
Walker did not return a call for comment by FOXNews.com Thursday. He declined to comment further on his decision to the Associated Press or local media.
In his letter, Walker wrote he prayed about the issue before stepping down and asked board members to "respect my choice as I respect your choice to disagree with me on this issue."
Walker, who has led the school since 2005, wrote he wanted to resign at the end of this school year, but he felt like he would break the trust of students and teachers who were already planning on him to come back.
South Carolina Equality Director Ray Drew told WACH-TV that the club provides support for gay, lesbian and straight students from an often hostile school environment. Reports show that in 2007, 31 percent of gay students were threatened or injured and 18 percent were physically assaulted because of their sexual orientation.
Gay-rights group Faith in America said Walker's decision is based on prejudice that is harmful to students and likened his decision to policies that once allowed segregation to flourish.
"We truly believe it is unfortunate that this principal cannot see the immense harm that is caused when a social climate of rejection, condemnation and violence is justified with misguided religious belief," said Brent Childers, executive director of the group.
One Irmo High School student, saddened by Walker's decision, said the principal was leaving for the wrong reasons.
"The reason he's leaving is not a good reason," Brion Hayes told WACH-TV. "He does a good job; he cares about the students that go to his school."

The incontrovertible fact is that the Laker pic of Jake beaming at Austin is one-fraction-of-a-second in the guy's life. The shutter snapped just as Jake gave a big warm smile to a friend, probably in reaction to something that he said. I also give big warm smiles to my friends whenever I feel like it. If a camera snapped my pic at the same exact moment as what happened to Jake, I would probably look very loving as well. Does that mean that I am in love and having a fling with my dear friends? Well no, as a matter-of-fact, I'm not.
This is why I don't believe the Austin-Jake theory. So far as I can deduce, it is based on the split-second photograph of him beaming at his friend Austin, and about a hundred "blind items" aka rumours from a rumour-monger. Ted C has his reasons for perpetuating the Jake is-gay-rumour, but I don't know what they are. It could be to boost his readership, it could be 'cause he has a hate on for Jake, could be something else. But one thing for sure, everything Ted writes comes from himself, and he is a gossip-columnist, so how do we know he's being truthful? Well, we don't.
And finally we have Jake, who says he's not gay. Jake has been pretty honourable so far as I can tell; I don't disbelieve what he says. Why should I? Why should you?
Just because you want Jake and Austin to be together, does not mean that Jake is a bullshitting liar when he says he's not gay (and when his publicist said "they're just friends", two years ago.)
Why do all of you believe that Jake and Austin are in love / hiding a romance based on the one split-second snap of a shutter? Isn't it possible that maybe the camera just caught a very warm smiling expression from a very friendly smiley guy? C'mon, let's have stronger evidence than that!
Please, if you have some kind of hard proof, please do share. The above circumstances are not proof, they are just rumours, mis-conjecture, wishful thinking, etc. etc.

The 70s really were a golden age for films, one that we'll probably never have again because of the way the industry has changed. It really makes me sad to see people associated with that era pass, like Pollack or Robert Altmann. There is so little room anymore for films directed at what I think of as the "grownup" market. Today the grownup market largely consists of either indie films or films like Iron Man that attract older audiences by casting people like RDJ.

As clearly as I could, I outlined the reasons that I know of regarding J+A being in a relationship. Nobody will come forward to strengthen this flimsy evidence:

My speculating that Ted C "has a hate on for Jake", well I am just repeating something I've already read about the subject. That was actually my shorthand for: "Ted C has a grudge against Jake." Now for some exciting news in my life. I AM OUT AT WORK. YES!
It feels great. Everyone that I work with including my lead tech now knows I am gay.. All have been really supportive and have taken it as its just no big deal. Now I dont have to hear anyone hammering me about not being out at work. Yeah! I can't believe I have come this far. Being a part of this group of wonderful people has helped me grow. Thanks so much friends. Again it feels sooo good.
I have to get a dig in here. I also found the nerve to do this because of what I believe Jake has done to his soul. He has sold out. He looks so ridiculous. I am so proud that I am free and I hope that Jake will be free soon also. It feels great Jake. Keep your 30 million.

Thanks W. I sure was nervous doing it. I started with txting people last night and followed up with phone calls today. I am not sure why the heck I was nervous now. The friends I told are nice people. The surprise is that the reactions were fairly blase. Kind of oh really cool. How many patients do you have today?

What's with the Jake is straight zealot today? I think PR is getting worn out. Over a year spent on their campaign and not much to show for it. How does the saying go? You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. I have to make a comment re the split second argument - there were quite a few pics taken that day not just one, and they were touching from shoulder to ankle much of the time. just a thot. but the 'personal trainer' to me looks like might be something more. the paps/press sees someone running with someone famous and will usually call them a 'personal trainer' you know? cracks me up about the reeke pics of outside of restaurant. could jake get any farther away from reese while shes trying to hug him??!! g*d talk about body language. and reese, trying to look pregs in that dress. almost makes me wonder if she has that psychological syndrome going on where a woman pretends/believes shes pregnant and dreesses like it and holds out her belly. strange, some of those pics. her hair, is she also trying to look like kirsten? reese gets spookier and creepier every day.
