In a effort to be more fiscally conscious (We're not broke, damn it! But our backers might be) producers are looking a new ways of keeping costs down and avoiding costly budget overruns for Nailed. Small changes were immediately seen as production resumed, one less muffin basket on the craft services table, hot lunch only on Fridays, and Sunny Delight replacing all orange juice. Bigger changes are said to be planned. Rumors have been rampant that they will be moving from 2 ply to 1 ply toilet paper, the cast and crew are heard to gear up for a fight for their right for 2 ply.

Representatives for Mr. Gyllenhaal have not commented, but the actor seemed to inquire if the SAG actor would be available for "unplanned" public photo opportunities as well. He was later overheard saying on his cell, I don't think she'll even notice I'm not there.

I don't think it's Jake behind the make me look straight game, it's the big hollywood studio with millions of $$ at stake. Why Jake went along with it I dont know.

Boy, they are sure getting a lot of mileage out of this story. How long ago was it they said an engagement was in the works? 6 mos? As predicted, no direct quotes, only "pals", "friends" and "sources close to the couple" (their mgmt!) clever denials from reps, and an observation from a restauranteur whose restaurant stands to gain a lot of exposure from a celebrity visit.
Even if you wanted to believe in this relationship, there's no real substance to it. It smacks of a Hollywood creation, maybe because we've looked beyond the veneer.
I think I'll continue to wait patiently until this train arrives at its destination; hopefully there won't be a derailment in the meantime.

As I suggested yesterday, I believe Bonnie Fuller will be taking over as EIC or Editorial Director of OK! This cover adds to my theory.

OK mag hit a new low with that ridiculous non story. I love the part about R being so traditional she wont live together before marriage. She was 6 mos pregnant when she got married. Actually I find this story so inane that it only further confirms what a sham this relationship is. Re Beckys' comment in E, notice she called Jake R's Gyllenpaal. Emphasis on pal, as in friend. I think PR got a bit flustered this week and dropped the ball.
Maybe Avon isn't too happy with her image right now and/or has gotten some complaints about Reeke "living in sin." And maybe those D.C. photos of Reese at the Avon walk in D.C. at Splash that focused on her stomach didn't go over too well with some people.
So shacking up is sinful but hooking up in the airplane bathroom isn't?

1) I know as much about Jake's life as you do, ie. practically nothing.

Oh Man - if this week's rag mag headlines don't convince you that all of their reports are for pure (and poor) entertainment value, I don't know what will - some of the lowlights (from Jezebel blog):
1. There might be a wedding in the future for Jake and Reese - No, like they needed a crystal ball for that one?
2. Nicole Ritchie in tears because her husband and baby daddy was caught sitting next to Lindsay Lohan. Is it over? I may lose my lunch over that one.

Not all tabloid stories are PR driven. However, I think this one smells fishy.
Just like the "It's Real, It's Hot, It's Love" US Weekly. There were staged moments for the US story (famers market is an automatic get for paparazzi pictures), the pig farm, the house pictures which would have been made public regardless of how they were brought out they were coming out so why not get a good story rolling. The timing on the weekend of Stop Loss opening was not a coincidence.
This story too was surrounded by a few key events that they want in the public eye: the movie and the Avon walk. No accident that the tabloid just happened to pick this week to break a marriage proposal rumor.
So my conclusion is that it was PR approved. The focus group had this cover a week ago and it takes a week to create the cover so that's another indicator that OK was waiting for the right moment.

To me, they are trying to say there are no current plans, but who knows about the future? *wink, wink* And he's supposed to have "laughed it off" which is another creative way to deny without denying. :(
I just can't see Reese running headlong into another marriage; Jake maybe, because he's young and if this is true (and that's a big IF. For her, she's already been married and she has children to consider. I don't see Reese making hasty decisions like a lovesick schoolgirl so soon after a divorce, if ever, once your trust has been broken, even if it is Jake Gyllenhaal we're talkin' about.
How long have they even been a couple, if true? I'm only aware of them since Rome, but between plants of sightings, & features in gossip magazines, we're now expected to believe they've been together 2 years? Doubtful, but I have no idea with all the red herrings and other questionable info out there. It's all very nebulous, hazy, and - dare I say it - in the mist! ;)

I want to thank OK for publishing a story so lame Jake was actually moved to do a formal denial. It was so lame, even the babblers pretty much stayed clear of it. OK should consider firing the idiot behind that story.
As to the denial, I thought the words "people are jumping to conclusions" were pretty meaningful. Maybe Jake is fed up with the whole sham.
I can't understand why the high school level the whole sham relationship is being marketed to either. Is that the POP demographic? Jake did TRL last year or so and it struck me he was a bit too old for the crowd. Looked a little creepy.
