Look and Listen

First it's the look. And it's Jake and LaOD.

Check out this funny interview with Jake and Annie during their junket in NYC. And selling movie before a match burns down to burn your fingers, it would make selling movie reviews a little fun. Somehow I picture Christopher Walken taking his time, and then not realizing that his hand is on fire as he explains his next flick.

And there are new clips of LaOD to watch. They are expanded parts of the scenes cut and edited together to make the trailer. And one clip that of a scene that hasn't been seen before.

First Date

Hey Lisa

OMG!

What was that for?

I Love You

The Listen is Austin's work with Global Green for a compilation CD with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Global Green's response to the Gulf Spill.

The CD, titled Gasoline Rainbow come out Nov 30th on Itunes and new songs from artists City and Colour, Damien Rice and Amy Kuney. Joining the CD are Phoenix, Passion Pit, and some of the bands that have been on OMG's music list, Surfer Blood, The Silversun Pickups, and personal favs The Black Keys, and Vampire Weekend. But Gasoline Rainbow as the title? Know it's the name of Kuney's song, but it sounds like what you would see if you sniffed too much gas at the pump.

Finally congrats to Jake for a People Choice Award nomination for Favorite Action Star. He's up against Angelina Jolie, Bradley Cooper, Jackie Chan and Robert Downey Jr. And PoP received a nomination for Favorite Action Movie along with Iron Man 2, Kick-Ass, Robin Hood, and Salt.

Doug Liman says the the Untitled Moon Project is still on and Jake's still attached to it.

The Playlist

If you recall the movie is about a private expedition to the moon to create a Lunar colony.

Abbie Cornish at one time was in the running to be cast as Jake's co-star.

I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.

I think the Jake/POP nominations are kind of surprising and odd.

Jake said this in one of his interview and I thought it was interesting and gave a little more insight:

'Love is a scary thing and I think it's talked about all over the place.

'You find it on greeting cards and whatever, but ultimately, when it comes down to actually being asked to love someone or be loved by someone, it's terrifying.'

It can be terrifying to open yourself up to love and be love because it can make you more vulnerable than you ever have been. And it can be terrifying to succumb to the power of love when it is so big it overwhelms you. When you've never experienced anything like it before.

Love can makes you want to do things you never done, think about things in ways you never have, and want things you never thought you needed. It can make you smart, and make do really dumb things, it can help find your greatness and point out all your flaws at the same time.

But it is so good it's worth it.

How you can believe anything he says is beyond me. They might be his true feelings, or just some bs platitudes to sell the movie, and fauxmance. Remember, "It's always tricky getting a girl".

Sorry SK, I forgot that you wear rose colored glasses :)

Because the love he is talking about is the real love he found in his own life. And can see how meeting Austin and how meeting him and falling in love so deep might have been overwhelming, terrifying, exhilarating and amazing all at the same.

That's not the first time Jake has referred to love as being terrifying. I think falling for Austin hit him like a ton of bricks and he still feels that way.

More snark on an ONTD post re jake and Swift, but kind of funny. "Ok, so, Jake Gyllenhaal is probably not scouring the Internet, looking for advice on his love life. (Unless he's reading this YourTango article on anal sex and trying to figure out a way to work it into the conversation of his and Taylor's next ice cream date, and, then, maybe.)

Oh please! He's a hardcore closet case who is ashamed/scared/gutless/homophobic.

When the "power of love" brings him out, then I will give credence to what he says. At the moment all I see is PR, spin, lies and bearding.

Yeah, I know its late. Took a nap and just woke up. Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of movies are opening the same day as LAOD, more than usual. To do with the holiday week I suppose. I saw at least 3 other trailers for same day films this evening while watching TV.

Dear Ted:
Let's stop with this Twi-hard stuff for a moment and focus on a real hot guy: Daniel Craig! Hottie, definite heartbreaker, but home-wrecker? Have you heard anything about his supposed hookup with Rachel Weisz? I know you said his Blind Vice was sex, sex, sex, but was it perhaps sex, sex, sex recently or past? Sorry for my mature tastes, but I'd much rather imagine sex with James Bond than Edward Cullen. My five shelter kitties and shelter dog would appreciate it!
—Cat

Dear Private Eye:
I'm sorry, your brood would appreciate you having sex with Daniel Craig or finding out if Rachel did? I'm confused. Regardless, hon, if you want to drool over James Bond, you certainly have come to the right place. He's one of the manlier men in this town, which is filled with Toothy Tile's who don't seem to know their penises from their checkbooks. Craig rarely gets the two confused. As for Rachel and Daniel, they're both saying not true, which is a huge shame.

Dear Ted:
Is Jackie Bouffant gay or bi?
—Lawton

Dear Thin Line:
It is tough to distinguish between the two sometimes. Jackie has stepped out on his beard with other girls, but those sloppy makeout sessions seem more for show. I foresee J.B. ending up secretly with a dude à la Toothy Tile, rather than Nevis Divine who will end up with a chick.

Dear Ted:
Why is Taylor Swift always dating guys that gossip sites love? She's dated/been seen with Joe Jonas, Corey Monteith, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer and now Jake Gyllenhaal. Is she such a fame seeker, or do they pursue her? Is this all only about publicity?
—Laura

Dear Country Darling:
Please, T.Swift doesn't need to seek fame. Her record-breaking voice does that all on its own. The guys, however, each serve different purposes. Like being spotted on bowling dates with Corey, a wholesome Glee guy, right after she was caught making out with John Mayer in Nashville wasn't a coincidence.

Just saw the Jakethemediaguy video where Jake and Anne are challenged to sell the movie in the time it takes for a match to burn. The first quote out of Jake’s mouth is classic: "It's about [LaOD] how to be okay with yourself, no matter what. You don’t have to be anything for anybody….”

Really, Jake? Maybe if this acting thing doesn't work out for you, used car salesmanship or politics might prove to be the perfect career shift. Nice to know you have the balls for something.
