It all adds up

Remember when Austin tweeted this?

Lebron james just said "LOL" Not sure how I feel about this. - Aug 2nd

We know he's dropped hints before. But it looks he was giving a hint of something in the works professionally.

Broadway veteran Gina Gershon has joined the cast of LOL an English-language remake of Gallic hit LOL: Laughing Out Loud, according to a report in Variety. Lisa Azuelos, who directed the original movie, will direct the remake from her own screenplay.

The movie focuses on a 15-year-old (to be played by Miley Cyrus) who, after being dumped by her boyfriend, sets her sights on his best friend.

"In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook, Lola (Miley) and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola's mom, Anne (Demi Moore), "accidentally" reads her teenage daughter's racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, "LOL" is an authentic coming-of-age story for the way we live now.

Lola's high school inner-circle includes Kyle (Douglas Booth) – Lola's BFF, whom she realizes is her love interest; Lola's two best friends Janice (Lina Esco) and Emily (Ashley Hinshaw); Max ( Adam Sevani) – a nerd that Emily secretly hooks up with; Lola's ex-boyfriend and Kyle's best friend Chad (George Finn); Lloyd who is part of their crew; and Ashley (Ashley Greene) – the sexy girl who has set her sights on Kyle, much to Lola's dismay. Thomas Jane plays Alan, Anne's ex-husband and Lola's father. Jay Hernandez plays James, a dangerously cute, good-natured cop dating Anne who is able to offer a little perspective on her teenage daughter. Austin Nichols plays Mr. Ross, the heartthrob math teacher, who all the girls have a crush on. Marlo Thomas plays Gran, Anne's sophisticated mother whose relaxed demeanor allows her to be the easy-going bystander when it comes to watching Anne raising children of her own. Gina Gershon and Fisher Stevens play Anne's closest friends and confidants and Nora Dunn plays Emily's mom."

You know who could help with getting into the whole math teacher thing?

This guy

So want to see the exponential growth of my natural log?
(That's for those math majors out there)

I'm telling you 1+1 can equal 4.
Ok there are variables involved but it still comes out to 4.

Mean, why use the old math. Looking where counting to 10 gets you:

I know haven't raised as much money as you
a
nd my tits are smaller.
You don't have to keep pointing it out. Geesh.

Dear Ted:
Now that Judas Jack-Off and Dashed Dingle-Dream are back together, what are the chances they will finally come out? Do you think they are more or less likely to come out than Toothy Tile and Grey Goose? I hope at least one of them will!
—Chaz

Dear Close Closet Call:
That's a tough one, Chaz, 'cause both the duos are
mucho comfortable in their respective closets. But if I had to choose who would come out as a couple, it would be T2 and G2. Way more serious and way more comfortable with each other.

Dear Ted:
Is Toothy's longtime BF a chef?
—Curious

Dear Dinner and Dessert:
By profession, no. But who knows what he could whip up in the kitchen for his main man

LOL - funny post today. :)

Happy about yesterday's Prop 8 decision in CA, I have always liked Arnold's political work for the environment and animals too. My kind of Republican. :)

Yesterday's post was great - Love Clint as an actor, icon and now world-class director. I loved the song - he's quite involved in the soundtracks of his films, isn't he? :)

Well there goes the Chris theory! :)

This and Ted using the word hubby is just another nod to married.

Yep, comfortable is a word that is wrapped in domesticity. Looks like our guys may have taken advantage of that 5-month window of opportunity after Prop. 8 first passed in 2008.

I love Gina Gershon, and then we have Austin, but I've got to say it, even for a teen movie this sounds dreadful.

So who are Judas and Dashed ? Does anyone have a quess or who are they thought to be?

If we didnt have Ted. If we didnt have Ted. If TT and GG were not true he would have dropped it a long time ago.

I think Judas and Dashed are the two guys from Supernatural, the ones who married their beards this spring. Originally people thought Judas might be Hayden C.

Crystal Waters (Gina Gershon in Showgirls) and Austin Nichols in a movie together.

Too hard. Too much temptation. This isn't fair, you can't do this to me. Too many inappropriate comments about poles come to mind.

And then there's Miley! Ohhh make it stop.

Congratulations to the Elena Kagan on her confirmation to the Supreme Court. That has 3 women justices sitting on the highest court in the US.

^^ Looks like Austin was busted by the Canadian Press for being "premature." I'm glad the spillage didn't happen while he was cooking up something with Jake. ;-)

Star-packed 'Beautiful Boy' set for TIFF Michael Sheen and Maria Bello in 'Beautiful Boy' Updated: Thu Aug. 05 2010 12:45:37 PM The Canadian Press
TORONTO — A star-packed drama about a teen who goes on a shooting rampage at his college appears bound for the Toronto International Film Festival.
Actor Austin Nichols recently wrote on his Twitter page that "Beautiful Boy," in which he stars with Michael Sheen and Maria Bello, will be at the festival on Sept. 12. Co-star Alan Tudyk also confirmed the news in an interview posted on the blog From Hollywood With Love. "Beautiful Boy" is directed by Shawn Ku and stars Bello and Sheen as parents of an 18-year-old (Kyle Gallner) who kills himself after committing a mass shooting at his school. Rocker Meat Loaf is also in the cast. The Toronto International Film Festival runs September 9 to 19.

I never understood why Friday Night Lights did not develop Austins stint as a teacher into a bigger part. Perhaps too many characters to deal with as it is.

Looks like someone was trying to check on Chris as a GG candidate. He got ruled out a long time ago when Ted confirmed GG is an actor. At least Ted gave a straight answer. He has done that the last couple of times with Toothy.

"Way more serious and way more comfortable with each other." Amazing that those words can make me so happy. You can sure see how comfortable Jake is when he is with Austin. It radiates from his pores.

Took the day off from work today to relax. Feels good and the weather cooperated too. A bit warm, but not unbearable.

Jake looks like a pixie in glasses or the kid from Jerry Maguire

So Austin's been a teacher in FNL, has the professorial look as a writer in Beautiful Boy, and now a math teacher now. Is it his look or his manner that has casting picking him?

Really don't know much about the original movie, and not sure what to think of a remake.

Know I've said it before, but really want to see him get something like he had in JFC. Something that is really going to let him stretch and exercise the actor in him.

Awww, check out Jake Gyllenhaal's elementary school yearbook photo! Jake looks positively adorable with his dorky glasses, puffy hair, and original nose.

Wow, where is the natural log picture taken from? I'm sure not a movie I've seen.

And there's probably going to be more re-posts of Jake's elementary school pic. That thing is beyond adorable. It's like he knows it, too. Check him out. He is just staring right back into that camera - it's like that Snap! picture from the London PoP premiere when he's posing on the red carpet.

No wonder Jake's probably spoiled. His mom probably had a hard time telling him no on anything he asked for or wanted to do.

The last line on this post today is hilarious. Austin's are a little perkier, though, Special.
