Showing off in LA

Jake made sure he got seen in LA this week.

First at LAX on Sunday

Then at the Chateau Marmont on Thursday

And tonight at the Guys' Choice Awards

He was also seen out dining with friend and former co-star Carey Mulligan

And today out for brunch in LA

If Jake has really relocated to NYC then were did he get all these clothes he keeps showing up in,  because unless he's Mr. Mary Poppins, that backpack could never hold all these clothes.

So there has to be some place that is still home for Jakey in CA.  And probably more of an established home than some people would like it to appear.

Of course tomorrow they will all be talking about Jake in NYC.  Since he is heading out of LA tonight to return to New York to present at the Tony Awards Sunday night.

Jake wasn't the only thing that returned in LA this week.  So  did the jewelry.

There is no way anyone can miss the thick gold band Thursday night

Or his chain today.

Let's see if the bling is just a West Coast thing.

Jake's The Dude.

As in The Dude from the Big Lewbowski, as he presented the "Original Dude Award" to Jeff Bridges who played The Dude.

And Jake was flashing that big gold ring on his pinky last night too.

Another day and another theory of methodical M proved completely wrong!

"third-rate "awards" show"

yes right

The troll targeted Prairie Girl because she was the most vocal all the while making repeatedly valid observations.

Now the troll has set eyes on M and M who has hit pin-point targets with the accuracy of Robin Hood's bow & arrow.

Any event can be "saved" by a few respected names. But what is that saying? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet' - Shakespeare. Or in this case, a rose by any other name would smell as tainted.

Try as you might, it is what it is.

Too bad it's the Robin Hood directed by Mel Brooks!

So you're saying Jake's "Men in Tights" then?

Oh, that absurd show Jake was seen at is a third rate award show. The Academy Awards would be considered A-list. The Golden Globes B-list. And frankly, I never even heard of the Guys Choice Awards so maybe that trophy show would be considered D-list. Reminds me of the kind of gathering created to market product. Just another fan driven, rigged affair. I love the observations made on this site by all the regulars because they are more often than not right. At least, they don't buy the propaganda and bull put out by agencies and studios. This show is just another vanity affair to keep actors names in the spotlight.

Who the hell is this "fact checking" poster anyway? It's hilarious how they continue to lurk here and just make stuff up. I guess the name is supposed to be ironic.

Someone who call out your bullshit

Now, that's funny. I hardly can't...LOLLLLL! How could you have called me out at 1:40, if I didn't comment until 2:50. Truly priceless.

_______

That's right. The Golden Globes is not considered in the same prestigious category of the Academy Awards. I work in the industry. I know what I'm talking about. Do you really think "The Tourist" would have been nominated for an AA like it was three times at the 2011 Golden Globes? Never mind the notorious reputation of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and its studio-star politics.

Hi D List Award Shows - nice to have you here.

These Guys' Choice awards are only several years old and the thing is, all you have to do is look at some of the award categories as I had listed yesterday and you can see the kind of mentality behind them. This kind of event won't be remembered past the night's sleep.

That being said, looks like Jake was a trooper and put his time in. I hand it to him for that. Whatever job we have to do, as long as we do the best that we can, it's an honorable thing.

Looking forward to the Tony's and seeing Jake all spiffed up - probably one of those really nice suits or what do they wear to these Tony's anyway? I don't think I've ever watched them before. I bet he'll have a great time.

I'm not going to know what in the heck is going on tho, that's for sure, lol. Will definitely need a program.

Oh Sass, I'm so happy to see you. How are you doing?!

Jake presented by himself best actress award for both play and musical.

He was ever the gentleman with the great Cicely Tyson who won for a Trip to Bountiful.

And Jakey, loving the pinky ring. Glad to see some flash back.

Love that they just advertised Austin's new show Ray Donovan during the Tony's.

How did I miss that?!!! Darn It!!!

I'm going to be dead in the morning but what else is new? LOL!!

Headed to bed now. You know, there was an awful lot of singin' in that show. ;D

Cicely Tyson was so gracious and eloquent in her speech. If the producers of that show would have practiced better time management and not let winners in the beginning go on and on and on, they might have had the time to let Cicely finish her beautiful speech.

Just a suggestion.
