Touchdown Toronto

On the official opening day of the NFL, Jake made a different kind of touchdown, landing in Toronto early this morning  and hit the ground running.

Carrying his own bag sans his red carpet wear,  he looked a little surprise at the crowd at the airport. And the chain is back not as big a Tommy Wheeler bling special but no tiny chain to either.

It was a full day of work with the press junket for Prisoner and Jake did not disappoint talking to reporters, critics, and press outlets.

USA Today did reveal something new about  Detective Loki that we haven't heard before:

It describes Loki as "the tic-laden cop tasked with figuring out what happened to her."

A few other things about Loki have been discovered in the new pictures from the movie.

Loki doesn't just have a have a tattoo on his neck , but a cross on his hand.  That's no coincidence.  What is Loki's cross to bear?

That's not just a pinky ring,  but it's a Mason ring.  What's the connection?

Great review for Jake!

Performance-wise, Prisoners is entirely the Jake Gyllenhaal show. While Jackman’s Keller Dover is surely meant to be the most complex character to populate Prisoners (well, at least for most of the film), the one kitted out with motives and backstory and grief to spare, it’s Detective Loki who is the most compelling and watchable. Gyllenhaal’s timing and tone are unwavering, making Jackman’s more outsized and nearly-hammy flourishes seem all the more jarring. Supporting stars like Howard, Davis, and Bello are underutilized and given little to do, and all three are essentially unchanged throughout the film. Dano also comes out strong before being boxed in by what Villeneuve is trying to establish with his character, a far more forgivable misstep when it comes to what the film metes out to its very talented cast.
