Back and Forth

For throw back Thursday, it's back Nailed.

The movie which has lingered in movie equivalent of the sitting the paper gown and waiting for the Dr. to come in to start the appointment for 5 years (ie, you gotten through the gallant of the waiting room, filled out the forms, saw the nurse for the intake, and 45 minutes and counting and you are still waiting for exam room door to open again) looks like it might be a step closer to being released.

IndieWire is reporting that Nailed received a PG-13 rating from the MPAA recently.  Which makes it sound like they will release it

But with that come the questions:

Have the ever shot the pivotal scene were Beil's character gets nailed with the nail gun?

How did a movie about a nymphomaniac (due to her injury)  who meets up with a guy with prolapse anus (Tracey Morgan) get a PG-13 rating?

Is the movie about lack of  accessible healthcare relevant now?

Or are they trying to capitalize on the  current web woes of the US healthcare enrollment kickoff?

Or are they jumping on it because Jake is the closest he's been to getting back on the Oscar track  in a while?

Someone found the movie again and though what the heck?  Maybe we could Netflix it and get some of the money back?

Why is Jake in a loincloth ? Congressional Fight club?

One question there is an answer for today:

When is Jake's latest movie Prisoners out on DVD?

December 17th

Just in time for Jake's birthday.

Exactly, Special. What you said.

Show the money or just stop talking about it already.

That PG-13 rating made me laugh.

Not going to ignore the loincloth look, tho. Jake's look in this movie is interesting. Seems forever ago when this was filmed, doesn't it.

It's been five and a half years!

Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since Nailed was filmed. I have a feeling it's a mess of a movie, but I'd still like to see it. And yes, hard to believe it would be a PG-13, makes you wonder if they didn't really water it down and are just hoping it will draw more viewers than an R rated movie.

From the new US Weekly out today:

Alyssa & Jake
He’s turning up the heat!
Sports Illustrated model Alyssa Miller tells US “Things are good” with boyfriend of five months Jake Gyllenhaal. “I have people over all the time for dinner parties, and we cook”, the LA bred beauty,24, said at the October 29 Angel Ball in New York City. While she makes a mean “clean and healthy” quinoa, the 32-year-old actor is the true whiz in the kitchen. Admits Miller, “He’s the teacher!”.
He’s certainly hands-on. “It’s all PDA with them,” says a source close to the couple, “They don’t care who sees.”

That US weekly story came out a week or two ago and got absolutely no interest from anyone. Poor beard must be desperate. She made a deal with the wrong guy. Even the newest Entertainment weekly had a comment that "being friends with Jake Gyllenhall is out", which surprised me that they even mentioned him at all.

Even if Nailed gets released, I can't imagine it doing well. They never finished the film. Will the director even take credit for it since it is unfinished?
