It's a first look at Jake as Lou Bloom a reporter in the underground competitive world of the LA after dark freelance crime journalism scene.
And the release of this first look is far from traditional. The first video of Jake as his “Nightcrawler” character surfaced on the Internet today somewhere you wouldn't expect: Craigslist. The Wrap.com asked if it's a bizarre choice for a kickoff or just clever viral marketing.
Lou seems a like a intense wound up kind of guy, and the role gives Jake a chance to play against type. We know from reporting that Jake cut his hand punching a mirror on set. After watching the clip you could see how that might have happened. You can see how the character might have been enticing challenge for Jake.

Nightcrawler opens October 17th in the US, and it looks like Jake will have a full promoting the movie both at home and abroad, with Jake heading to Rome October 16, to premiere Nightcrawler there. Check back with OMG for further promotion dates and events.

And Tom - we can not forget the Jake leaving the Dr.'s office with the big grin, and picture in his hand that suspiciously looked like what you get when you get ultrasound pictures. And nobody smiles over kidney stone pictures.

Exactly. The last time Jake was spotted at the Beverly Hills Medical Center was in May 2012, in fact. And, that's the last year he was photographed with Austin too. Coincidence? I think not.

BT was born on October 17. And where is Jake going on BT's birthday eve? He's going to Rome, the city where Jake flew to when BT1 was born.
It's a Throwback-BT. Jake is going back to where his & Austin's string of kids all began. To Rome. Where he and Reese made their huge splash, all to hide the birth of Jake & Austin's first child and Austin was back in the States taking BT home from the hospital.

I hope Austie and Poopie are stocking up on those photo ops. Since her stupid show will begin filming again in September, she'll be preoccupied. But, maybe Austie could start tweeting porn to underage girls on Twitter again. You know, those slutty High School teens who are all followers of Jesus. That should give him sufficient cover. :-)
