She had to go see Jake if she wanted to get press.
She's sent the kids with the nannies before she could have sent them back to Ryan to start school.Ryan's got more experience growing up with his mom running a preschool.
If she wanted press in Philly she wouldn't be dodging and hiding her face from the one lone pap.
School starts this week and I think Ryan is in the middle of filming a movie in NM if i'm not mistaken that's why the kids were in Philly for most of the Summer.
Jake hasn't been in Philly in weeks, but People makes it look like he was.

Ryan had the kids from late May until the last week of July. Then he seemed to spend some time hanging out with Abbie and started MacGruber in early August. Macgruber has to wrap before SNL starts. The kids start school tomorrow so Reese and Ryan are probably in LA. Maybe she'll stay there until he gets back from NM and then she'll return to Philly. The Philly pap knows nothing and is getting info from people working on the crew of Reese's movie.
What was Jake doing with the kids on Friday in L.A. if Ryan was in L.A? And I thought Ryan was supposed to have the kids for the Summer? Well he did for June and for one week in July in Philly but from then until now they have been in Philly, odd unless the movie was a last minute thing.
Maybe Ryan had the kids all last week but Reese had them for the weekend and since school starts it would make no sense to fly them back to Philly.

I think it is interesting how People plays their spin. It is very interesting and give more insight into the bigger picture. The evolution of this spinmance is interesting. What mags get used for what, what blogs do what - ex JJ, and the timing.
Sometimes you have to look broader to find the smaller, details that is.
It was one tweet about Jake with the kids. And honestly I think that might have been planted to set up the weekend, without the obvious Reese is back in LA.
I like seeing what is being said publicly, like in People, just to keep up to date with the hype. People who claim to have the inside info re Reeke's schedule are just posting their best guess and hoping it sticks. Jake most likely spent his time with Austin, both being in LA. Notice we barely saw Jake at all. I think the boys had to do some catching up behind closed doors. Then he reported back to work for some cover up.
?? Ryan didn't leave the kids in Philly until 7/27. They got out of school 6/1. Then he signed to do a movie that had an immediate start date so August the kids went to Philly. I don't think TR ever said he had them for the whole summer just that the custody this year consisted of long chunks of time with one parent then the other because of their work schedules.

According to someone on the forum, Sophia went to L.A. to attend a friends wedding, no mention of Austin going and the pap pics of Sophia are of her solo.

Makes you think that maybe Austin wants Jake to get a little jealous. Some say they are tumultuous, but I think they are more passionate, and maybe that thought of someone even looking at his man, is what Austin wants to stir in Jake.
I do think that Austin is ambitious and see that he has to make the most of every opportunity he has for his acting and exposure.

Hey, just got back from vacation on a red-wye this morning, and I'm sitting here at work struggling to keep the eyes open. I need some time to catch up before commenting on anything.
I don't want to give any credence to a troll, but what exactly is the source for Austin being in LA? Is it really just that one anonymous comment from someone on Spooky's livejournal?
i looked at the pinkberry pic. it was a cute pic overall, and certainly sweet of him to pose with that lady, etc.
however, does anyone else think he doesn't look too hot?
i know he's just out running errands or whatever, but he used to always look so yummy, in every picture. maybe his face has just changed a little with age, his hair is a tad different, he looks kinda skinny or something... i don't know. i just know that if i had never been nutso over him, and i looked at him now, i'd just go, "oh, ok," and keep on going. i don't think i'd even give him a second look, and i've felt that way about almost all of the recent pictures.
do ya'll see it too, or am i having eye problems. and just to avoid any ick arguments, this has nothing to do with reese or expectations or any of that stuff. it's just a comment about his current and recent personal appearance.

me again... i did say he looked perfect in his recent beach pic, and his body did look great, but someone else commented on how he looked kinda Dadish, and i agreed with that, and he certainly didn't look as gorgeous from the shoulders up as he used to. i think it's the hair and the funky sunglasses, and i don't like the hats he's favoring now, but in the pinkberry pic he's not wearing a hat and he still looks almost sickly to me.

I think he looks pretty pleasant in that picture; a little scruffy, yeah. You know, for me, I can't really tell with him anymore? He's aged quite a bit, whereas Austin has matured & morphed. It's my opinion that all the stress of the past 3 years has really taken a physical toll on him.
But then, there have been a few pictures (the biking pictures and a few others) where he looks pretty young still. I think the biking pictures is where he has looked like Jake of old. He looked great at the Golden Globes but his seeming lack of self confidence detracted from it and made him look like a cute little boy.
Those pics this morning on IHJ were awful. Not even worth commenting on and I'm not going any further on them because they were such a clock punch.
I can't believe I remember that OTH is on and I am home to watch it. And it's the wedding episode which I've seen already several times! Why couldn't it be the one where Julian leaves for L.A.? I've never seen that one. Rats!
Sienna, Jake looks like he's gotten some color since the Vineyard. (I was the one who said he looked like the Hot Dad on the beach) He looks thinner. For the next movie? Or from chasing little tiles?

I take the anonymous post at Spooky's about Sophia and Austin with a rock-sized grain of salt. Seems like he's been on the road a lot, so you gotta wonder, when does he film OTH??
Jake looks okay physically in that Pinkberry picture, but as so often seems to be the case, something looks off. No spark. I think Jake is one of those people that can look good or not so good depending upon the light, the angle, etc. , but I think that has been easy to overlook because of what came through from inside him. It is a rare day when we see Jake exuding happiness, confidence, joy, etc. Jake can't fake that, that is why Reeke has been so bad for him.
I don't think Steph has a problem with Jake on his own. I just took that whole exchange as wanting to have people post in the appropriate thread. Maybe she didn't want people being subjected to Reeke just to see the new photo. :-D
It's not that Steph has problem with Jake on his own. I think UV has a problem with Jake on his own. And I think Steph was trying to distinguish that Jake at the Pinkberry was not the same day or time. You know general convention rules, or like you said Destiny (hope you had good time on vaca), didn't want people to be subjected to see the new photo of him.
I checked that thread on IHJ and Stephanie didn't call out UV for posting that pic in the J&R thread, she hasn't responded at all to it unless i'm missing something. There are only 2 comments after UV posted and asked Stephanie if it was ok and one thanked UV for the pic. The J&R pics were taken 8/31 and the pinkberry pic just said this weekend, according to a tweet, Reese was still in Philly on Saturday morning at least.
The pinkberry pic is posted on the front page, top on GB, don't think there is a problem.

tom, i'm with you, i could do without the discussion about reese's kids 100% but some folks like to consider that in the big scheme of the drama, so whenever i realize thats the topic of the post, i just zoom on by. like austin - i've never been a fan of his or a fan of jaustin, so i skim a lot of those posts too. they may or may not be an item, but my main interest is in jake, and jake finally breaking free from reese. so those are the posts i focus on the most.
is Love and Other Drugs his next movie project? it sounds interesting. it sure would help if he ditched the accessory soon. :/
I agree, Jake's looks are in decline, Austin's on the incline. Stress, takes years off + Jake has lost that glow from within he used to sport. Reeke has it on dimmer.
Again with the Buckley/Austin talk. Wonder what kind of chemistry they will display on OTH. The only reason it does not bother me is that I think its good for Jake to be jealous.

You're right, hmm, that looks like a bad case of photoshopping. I'm not saying it couldn't have been a real event, but that picture looks fake. I don't see the continuation of Austin's left shoulder into Sophia. It kind of drops off or something.
LOL, that's kind of a goofy look on Austin's face. What's the matter with him? I like Sophia's dress, though.
I agree that once you're a parent, alot of times you can (maybe all the time depending on your daily schedule) look ragged.
But not all the time. And not with nannies around to take care of the kids while you're out doing coffee runs, shopping, and romantic strolls. Isn't that the purpose of the nanny? To take care of all those stressful events that the parent doesn't have the time for? Running the kids to school, getting them dressed, running them to their athletic events? As much as Jake's been traveling in the past 3 years, particularly out of the country, I don't understand how he could look so rough & college dorm-ish all the time with a nanny taking care of a child.
That's the reason why I don't totally buy that explanation. Not that it couldn't explain it once in awhile.
And look at Austin. He doesn't look that way at all. Or else Austin totally knows how to handle a kid and Jake doesn't, lol.
We're celebrating the super's birthday today. Since she's been on Weight Watchers, we're having a BIG SALAD. That's a BIG salad. I'm bringing ham, salad dressing, garden tomatoes, and I picked up a jar of sunflower seeds.
Sorry, but no diet dressing from this donator. If there's one thing I don't skimp on, it's the dressing. Good thing she has a huge stash of half empty dressing bottles in that fridge. One of the ones I picked up is by Girard's. It was called Greek Feta Vignarette. Man, does that one sound good.

I don't recall ever hearing anything about Quinto and a figurative beard, so I'm guessing that is partly what Ted means about one of the guesses being wrong wrong wrong. Wrong on who it is, wrong on the beard. So does that make Pine a candidate?
No way of knowing if that photo of Sophia and Austin is real. But going to a wedding doesn't mean anything. If she's not dating anyone and wants to take someone, why not a good friend like Austin.

I think there are too many references to Austin/Robert to be just a hint to them being both gay. They’ve been mentioned every day for weeks! They are always mentioned as a pair and with a joint name. I think Ted is implying they are involved.

I know some people want to see Austin hook up with anyone but Jake. But I think but the speculation to rest with this answer.

Not only has AT mentioned Austin/Robert a lot, but its usually near a mention of Toothy as well. There has to be something more to it. We'll see soon enough I guess. Ted is back in one more week.
I finally got around to looking closely at the latest Reeke drink pics. I had just sort of scanned them before. They have minor smiles on their faces while walking apart. As soon as they touch hands, all the smiles disappear and they both look constipated. I think the friendship is strained again. Maybe talk of Austin exploring other interests is getting to Jake. Resentment at his showmance obligations.
Interesting observation M. I'm glad someone has the stomach to look at Reeke pictures that closely.
For what it's worth, Z. Quinto is widely thought to be No-Beave Steve of a recent Ted blind item.
