'Twas the night before...

Now for a pair that seems to share so much, here are a few more :

How can you have a bike with out a bell? A classic Schwinn bike bell. Two Wheel Tuesdays will never be the same. Rrrrring Rrrrring

Of there are the fancy footware. Somehow getting the Christmas boot doesn't sound as much fun as getting your stocking stuffed.

But something they really need to share. A shoe shine kit.

Both J &A being eco-conscious about some Eco-apps for Iphones.

Or maybe a gadget that turns the Iphone hands free for video chatting? The Glif can mount a iPhone onto a tripod and prop it up at all kinds of angles. It's made from recyclable rubberized plastic fits snugly in a pocket, or a backpack.

Now it can't be all about those two. Because we know that for Jake it's all about family.

How about some snuggly Green Animals that would be a hit with the less than tall? Proceeds from each help plant more trees for the Arbor Foundation.

And for more snuggling how about a handmade quilt that maps special places to cuddle up under? Coming in size from crib to King, these can commemorate special places and special reasons. Like Austin, or The Vineyard, or Los Angeles or Brooklyn. And they can be custom made for any special place, or special occasion.

Now maybe Jake didn't get to Walrus yet, but he and the family can Walrooz. Yup Walrus sleds for big kids and little ones too. (Austin might get banged up on snowboards, so these sit and slides might be a bit more his speed) Coming in blue and Longhorn Orange they hook together along with little walrooz for a family ride.

Merry Christmas to everyone here on OMG. Thank you for sharing another year here. Here's hoping you have a wonderful time filled with the spirit of the season, and share it with family, friends and those you love.
....and here's hoping Jolly St. Nick stops by and gives you what you wished.

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone at OMG. I've been a little bit distracted with the pursuit of long standing festive traditions this season. Along with creating a few new ones along the way. Wooohooo! I just love this time of the year! From the music to the reconnection with friends and family that have grown too far apart because of long distances and careers.

Thank you for all those wonderfully creative posts throughout the year, Special. They are true gifts from the heart and never fail to bring a smile to my face. The recent "personal touch" gift ideas for our men have been particularly inspired and devilishly fun. The guys almost don't even need a shopping list with these kind of keen-eyed compilations. Today, for instance, I particularly enjoyed the family style walrus sleds and stocking stuffer references. The perfect present for two inventive, adventurous "souls." Never mind the shoe shine kit. A real "Tip of the Hat" to rebellious mischief.

Well, I've been pretty much cooking all day in preparation for the big Christmas Eve Bash tonight. I truly wish you all could be here (with maybe a few understandable exceptions *grin). Since I'm on vacation for three weeks, I decided to really throw a party so it's Stuffed Mushrooms, Prime Rib, Apple Cheddar Squash Soup, Green Beans with Caramelized Shallots, and Homemade Dinner Rolls. I love Roma's cocktail recipes and would add three more on the menu for this evening's merriment: Sugar Plum Dreams, S'mores Martinis, and for those who like creamy cocktails, the everpopular, White Christmas. Since I just discovered I have chilled cranberry juice and triple sec, I'll probably have our versatile, sexy Mix Master offer up Poinsettas as well. If I only could get Jake to offer up his bus-boying services, the night would be perfect. What's that Austin?" "Yes, I have a pool. Why?" "Oooooh. Jake does a great otter impression. I see."

Well, on that helpful note, it's definitely time to go get glammed up and mindfully focused ("a lit bit" Buddha, if you will). I'll be back tomorrow. Fatter, but cosmically fuller. Take care, everyone. Cheers!

One more thing. I sure hope Austin isn't too banged up from that sled mishap yesterday. He sounds almost like a man under the influence...of Soma, that is.

Home from Christmas Eve service and waiting for the chicken enchiladas to finish cooking. We're all watching the new puppy (nephew's Christmas present) play and romp around, and if the cat jumps in the tree again.

Thanks Roma for the great recipes. I will definite have to try and make some of each, but that snowflake martini has my name on it.

Ahh, the beauty of Twitter. Here's Austin and his, stop-thinking-Jake-is-gay chum, Adam, conveniently telling us, on Xmas Eve, where he is. Or, perhaps, maybe he's telling us where he wants us to believe he is. I hope next time he'll supply us with his social security number and GPS coordinates. Checking and IRA Accounts would be good too.

Just a quick drop in to say HI and to wish everyone a wonderful holiday. I've been sidelined by a terrible head cold. My head feels like it is going to explode and the thought of any food or drink does not compute. I'll look into those recipes in a couple of days. Sorry to be a downer but I feel like hell. Hopefully it will pass as quickly as it came.

Merry Christmas, everyone!! I beat ya all up!

I'm done wrapping for the night - will have to finish in the morning. Tostadas tonight!!!! Mmmm mmmm mmmm. And Mom does not use packaged shredded cheese. She still likes to grate hers. Have to admit that the cheese is always softer that way. I don't know why that is but... Had a bit of a panic moment when it was discovered the Pace sauce was Medium!!! Ack!!! After being assured it was "do-able", I guess it was. Not too hot. lol.

The kids & I spent awhile looking in my Jackie Dawson Advent calendar. They thought that was really cool. Then they tried on my boot. We got to watch the Year Without a Santa Claus with the infamous Snow Miser and Heat Miser. And with A Nutcracker Scoob now over and Tivo'd, the Christmas Eve TV show watching is now complete.

And of course I had to google "taking mushrooms". When I saw Adam Latrine, I should have known. Remind me next time to not even bother, you guys.

Because you know, that wasn't funny. Not funny at all. Did anyone think that was the least bit funny or impressive?

Okay, I did not get my boys to Christmas Eve at home, I know. They just finished attending 5 o'clock Christmas Eve service and are about to head home. Starting Ch. 13. I'm so disappointed. Oh well. **heavy sigh**.

Big day tomorrow!!!! Off to bed and get this darn boot off.

I'm so sorry, m. I hope you wake up in the morning feeling a lot better.

My brother told me tonight I can take two Naproxin on top of my presc. pain med. If I don't wake up in the morning, you guys are my witness what happened. lol.

I know, don't kid about stuff like that!! I am going to load up, though, to get the swelling to go down, ol' puffy foot here.

Okay, time to hit the hay. for real.
