Gardening 101

Now what you do is you just use seeds - part of story, a phrase, or a just a word to plant.

You mean like tiny? he's so supportive? I'm very lucky?

Exactly - see how easy it is. Now you just throw it out there, sometimes we plant it a little deeper in some places so doesn't get eaten up before rooting.

Then what?

Well compost - ok mostly manure is spread on top. A good thick layer. And maybe a few worms in the mix.

Can't there be too much, I'm mean it could just suffocate everything.

Not for this garden. There's never too much manure

Ok whatever, it just seems like overkill.

Now soon with some bright lights, maybe some artificial heat and some water something always comes up.

How soon? How do you know what your gonna get.

Ah that's where the pros like us come in. You let everything come in and then decide if its need to be weeded it out or tend it more to make it bigger.

Is there stuff that pops up that you don't want?

Of course - we just pull it out and sometimes just slip a prepackage plant in its place.

Smart thinking, I guess.

Hey that's what we do.

What kind of garden is those supposed to be?

It's a show garden of course, something like this doesn't happen on its own. But the beauty of it is that it looks like its natural.

It kind of doesn't look that.

Listen enough people will think this this just happened that's enough. Amateurs of course. The pros know what it takes to get this, and some know it all green thumbs.

And does it spread and grow?

Of course its bright and happy and everything everyone thinks is what a garden should be. So all these birds and bees are attracted to it and they spread for us. No work, they do it all.

What happens if it cross pollinates and turns into something different?

If we like it we work with them, if we don't we just claim it never came from us or ignore it.

And over there? What's that? That yellow rose?

Oh that well that's Jake's little patch. There's nothing we can do with that, that damn shrub won't go, doesn't fade, and never needs pruning. It's always there.

Is that another little bud on it?

Just leave it be, we have too much work to do on the high maintenance one we have. Here just put more, more manure near the side of it, maybe people won't notice.

What the heck? How did this get in here?

What what is it?

Damn Charentais!

Damn what?

Charentais - French melons. I'm going to kill Jake. Oh he thinks if he can sneak that in and no one notices.

Chance the Gardner/Chauncey Gardiner strikes back.

P.S. I've hijacked the music for next few days. Please forgive me Wicked.

Now you can name this tune but can you name the movie? What Jake movie was this song in? You know movie man Austin knows.

What a funny post! I was gonna mention about not forgetting the fertilizer as I started reading - and of course, the Yellow Rose of Texas and the Charentais melons. ;)

You outdid yourself on this one, Special. I echo Blue Velvet's words: Excellent, excellent.

Extremely clever; how do you do this? It's a gift, that's what it is. Love the first picture - it's so colorful. And the Manure Compost picture - LOL! Exactly.

Well, you know how good that "second" sleep is. Need to get going & do something constructive. Waiting for the rain to let up. Waiting. Waiting.

Leave it to Special to put all that manure from yesterday to good use. Great post.

One of the things I really love about you Special is your ability to keep your eye on that pony no matter how high the piles get.

Ted has his credibility to lose with every column/letter that he prints. He knows what people like Popcorn are saying. But he keeps it up. You think it's solely because of the community of OMG and WFT2? I don't think so. We're just one blip on the screen of his demographics.

If we were the only audience for Ted's column, he would have been fired a long time ago. And as for what proof Ted has produced for what he says, I will answer the question- the answer is none and he never will provide any. Either you think Ted is credible or you don't. I think many people here think Ted's credible some of the time but not all of the time.

La Daily Musto

Gossip's Girls on the Prowl

Spotted walking around the West Village the other night: Gossip Girl's Chase Crawford and Ed Westwick and two other friends. For about a quarter of a block, housemates Chase and Ed locked arms in a very touching way--but don't swish to any conclusions. I'm sure it was just to purposely play into the rumors and have fun with them, just like when they went to a gay bar together, mainly for a wink-wink bit of camp! Right?

Brilliant, just brilliant post. This recent publicity event has been so obvious it's almost embarrasing for them.

Geez, must be an off day. I dont recall this song in any of Jake's movies and I have seen them all, nor does it trigger any memories of a fan fic. Too many of those rolling around the brain cells I guess. Jake has a lot fewer movies than fan fics. I'll have to wait for the answer to both I guess.

Just finished reading some of last nights comments. Stated very well. It's not one thing that led me to believe Jake is gay, but the accumulation of several years worth of reading and observations via interviews, gossip, dvd commentary, photos etc. much of which took place when Jake was on the verge of coming out and not quite so guarded. You cant summarize this into a 2 or 3 sentance "proof", nor do I care to. I guess popcorn wants Ted to go the full distance and out Jake.

Hi

I love this song, I sing along to it in the car (fortunately I'm usually alone!) It's from the Zodiac soundtrack, but I have no idea where it comes in the movie. :)

prairiegirl said...

Well, well, well, well....guess what just may steal Reeke's thunder? Big Hollywood story (even though it's been rumored now for months) that is headlining everything today? Madonna & Guy Ritchie officially calling it quits.

On People.com (I know, I couldn't resist. But only because the Madonna story is what headlined my internet homepage) it is the top story and Reeke dropped down to the bottom as in top 5 most read story. No longer mentioned at the top of the headlines like it was yesterday. That was shortlived. Didn't somebody here once say they seem to have bad kharma?

destiny said...

If it turns out to be Zodiac I'm going to feel pretty dumb considering how many times I've seen that movie, althought it has been quite some time since my last viewing.

prairiegirl said...

And I know I shouldn't take a little bit of enjoyment out of that, so I won't too much. Couldn't help it.

Anyways, I feel so great after my walk. It finally stopped raining & I scurried out the door to head to my park. There is nothing like having the park practically to yourself so you can sing your lungs out, raise your arms to the lyrics, do some kneelifts & punches, and get out all that stuff that's burrowing inside & bugging you. Or lifting you. It works both ways. Whatever negativity or positive thing is going on inside, those endorphins & music have a powerful way of helping to work it all out.

And it doesn't hurt to hear a little Art Alexakis, who is about as bada--, rebellious, & sexy as they come.

Special K said...

Ruby wins the prize - it is from Zodiac.

Fincher not only use music for mood, but he used it to tell time. He used songs on the radio to progress the years in the story.

I love walking too PG, I almost always walk to and from work , with most of the walk taking me through Central Park. I don't remember the music Zodiac. I was guessing MM because of the 70s. I was close!

Another top story I don't know if you heard is actor Gale Harold (Queer As Folk?) was in motorcycle accident and is in USC Med Center intensive care. They aren't saying much or releasing any information.

Just released: Gayle Harold is in critical condition following a motorcycle accident.

USC Medical Center spokeswoman Adelaida De La Cerda said Harold was awaiting further tests.

Publicist Nancy Seltzer said Wednesday that Harold fractured his shoulder, and "Housewives" creator and executive producer Marc Cherry said he apparently has swelling on the brain but was expected to recover.

Reese Witherspoon In Vogue: Like Tracy Flick, Only Wealthier & More Annoying

So Reese Witherspoon is on the cover of the November issue of Vogue. Yawn. According to the mag, she has a "new look." Oh, really? She looks like the same wholesome Southern deb she's always been. As for the story inside, it's just a lame, joyless advertisement for the cringe-inducing film Four Christmases and for Reese's friend/designer, Olivier Theyskens. (The latter, at least, belongs on the pages of Vogue.) But really, all this story does is confirm that Ms. Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon, whose father is an otolaryngologist and whose mother is a Ph.D. in pediatric nursing, is accustomed to getting everything she wants, Veruca Salt-style. Consider the story of the Christian Dior dress:

Reese was in Paris in 2005, the day after her Oscar nomination for Walk The Line. According to Vogue, "She needed a dress. She wanted vintage." So her stylist drove her to this "out-of-the-way arrondissement" where a Christian Dior dress "made in the fifties for a princess, literally," was hanging in a shop window. Except! It wasn't for sale. Reese tried it on anyway.

"It fit perfectly. I mean, like, it couldn't have been more amazing," she remembers, "and Nunzio is there and he's talking in French and finally the man said, 'You can have it.'" She wore it to the Oscars. She won an Oscar. "I don't mean to sound hokey pokey, but the dress has energy in it," she says. She will keep it forever. "My accountant got wind of the bill, and he called me and said, 'Um, don't you think you should auction this off?' And I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' I will never ever ever ever ever sell it."

You're like, whatever Dodai, you're mean, it's sweet, she's so lucky! She glossed over the part where she bought a dress that wasn't for sale. And she also said this: "I was one of the few people born to be June Carter Cash? I was the only person born to play her—I mean, me and June Carter Cash." So. It's just hard not to see her as straight-up Tracy Flick. Still, the pictures are nice!”

Anonymous said...

After all the hard work Reeke put into that London photo op they are going to be pushed off next weeks covers in favor of Madonna divorce/Jen Austin-John Mayer on again. As for Vogue, Reese is trying so hard on all fronts to promote her lame ass film and she's contraditing herself. The rag mags run stories of how Reese & Vince Vaghun didn't get along and she's dreading promoting with him, and then she tells Vogue how she loves him, loved working with him and finds him funny. Lie much? Just like her comments about Jake-he's supportive, he's funny, he stopped by photoshoot to say hi. She could be describing her PA for all the enthusiasm she puts out. Her PR must be slipping to allow such mistakes.

Thoughts are with Gayle Harold. Hope he makes a full and swift recovery.

Well, the last thread is locked, so I can't reply to some of the responses I got there, so I'll have to reply to them in this thread instead.

Destiny said

"And don't be obtuse Popcorn. I didn't say the Perez incident was the only reason I think Jake is gay, but one of many."

I didn't say that you thought that was the only reason. I pointed out that you thought it was A reason, but that doesn't change the circular reasoning you displayed (and I note you didn't deny that), so don't be so obtuse yourself there Destiny.

You also asked me why I keep coming here and trying to convince everyone they are wrong. Well, I'm not trying to do that. From what I can tell, quite a few people think that Baby Tile is bullshit, so I'm in agreement with them. And I like to see other points of view; if I'm going to get all sides of an argument I need to hear the opinions of people who disagree with me.

Prairegirl, I "left the building" before I saw Destiny's question, but I'm endeavouring to catch up now. You say Ted has credibility to lose...but again, how exactly can he lose it with regards to TT? Well, the only way he can lose it now is with the Baby Tile nonsense, since that is something that can be shown to be true or false. But again, how long will the Baby Tile believers give Ted before calling him out? Another six months? A year? Three years?

Wicked.

"And as for what proof Ted has produced for what he says, I will answer the question- the answer is none and he never will provide any."

Thank you.

"Either you think Ted is credible or you don't. I think many people here think Ted's credible some of the time but not all of the time."

Great. So what makes him credible on Baby Tile? What makes him credible on the idea that Jake and Austin are still together? Because people on here are quick to point out that a lot of other gossip sites say that Jake is gay (which they do) but fall strangely silent when it's pointed out that pretty much none of those other gossip sites say that he is in relationship with Austin, let alone that he fathered a child with him.

Strange that :D

I feel bad about Madonna and Guy Ritchie's divorce. It's always sad to see when a marriage doesn't work out, especially when they've been together for a good while. Man, that's 2 now for her. Ouch. The only thing that concerns me about the story is it just confirms for me the usual sign when something is up. Where there's smoke, there's usually a fire. And there's been alot of smoke about Madonna's marriage now for a couple of months.

And yeah, I see the Jen & John back on stories, too. That's going to knock the story down a peg, too. Jennifer Anniston is a media darling and anything she does, especially if it has to do with a new/old guy in her life is frontpage news.

I just wanted to say one more thing about thresholds because I didn't want it to sound like I was just speaking of Jake. Taking someone else or yourself over a threshold can be so many other things besides something major like race or sexuality. Those are 2 pretty big thresholds. A threshold can be anything that requires a big swallowing gulp & initiative. Like smoking that last cigarette. Speaking in front of a large group of people. Quitting a job that you've been at forever but no longer happy at. Moving to a new city to start anew. Speaking out about your faith. Asking a person out on a date when you've been tonguetied forever around that person. Quitting gambling. On and on and on. All require guts and a desire to better yourself, unsure if you can do it or if the other person can, but willing to try for yourself or stand beside & support that other person that you're trying to help lead.

Dang, did I have to use that word support? I think that word's going to be one for me to avoid for awhile, LOL!

Just one post, because of the rather naive thought that Ted would be compromised if he made his TT-BIs up. Ted has, with great resonance, told tales about Ben and Matt, ages ago, which vanished when the archives were cleared. He also did some hilarious BIs about Viggo and Orly, one of them featured on the Viggorli blog, which was linked on WFT, the original. Nothing ever came from these BIs and nobody ever called Ted out on them. So he has nothing to fear. And why should he? This is gossip and probably most of it is fabricated by rags, blogs, busybodies, wishful thinkers, manipulators, PR and a lot more of these people, making money with the celebrity rumor hungry masses.

And popcorn is right insofar as most other sites are -for good reasons, I suppose- sure that Jake is gay, as am I, but the TT-GG-story is exclusively Ted, this blog and WFT2.
But it´s always entertaining to read your happy family phantasies laced with Reeke bitching.

Reeke gets more desperate and ridiculous planting this sex story on Star. It’s so funny how hard they are trying to convince people the bearding is real.

Exclusive: Reese Gives Jake Sexy Lingerie Show

Just 24 hours after Reese Witherspoon arrived in London to visit Jake Gyllenhaal, she coaxed him into a sex toys and underwear emporium for a private strip show.

While shopping in a Myla boutique on the West End, Reese beckoned her beau into the changing rooms, where she surprised him with a private strip show. Jake watched — with a smile plastered across his face — as Reese slipped out of her clothes and wiggled into various bra and panty sets, including an itsy-bitsy pair of purple panties and a matching push-up bra.

Reese's private show seemed to have the desired effect — Jake brought some items up to the cash register, then Reese paid with her credit card.

"Clearly, that purple set did it for him," clerk Vanessa Brown tells Star. "Reese has a really fit body. She looks fantastic. She's petite... but I'm not telling her bra size!"

On the way out of the store, the lovebirds stopped, giggling at a display of sex toys. Reese pointed to a black spoon-shaped gadget designed for "all over body massage as well as more intimate use" and dissolved in fits of laughter.

"They were laughing and joking and just enjoying the moment," added Vanessa.

What do you think of Reese and Jake as a couple: totally hot or totally not? Talk back below.

But since there standing room only, and he's not in any shape to do that, I called a friend who's a huge Sox fan. I know they will go to a good home.

There's not much I would ever give up my beloved Sox for but my Pops is definitely at the top of that short list.

That Star mag story has the same scent as the Mile High story. But this one is really piling it on. They're starting to get really over the top. Are we supposed to believe that she did this in an open dressing room with the clerk looking on? The girl was quoted as saying she was even extremely uncomfortable doing the bikini scene in Legally Blonde.

I suppose this store, excuse me, boutique, is where that little shopping bag is from. What I'm surprised at is they give the name of the store clerk. I swear, if I lived over there, I'd be checking it out. That's me and my need for 100% certainty speaking.

Destiny & Special, I ITA with you both. Man, this is really getting just too over the top. Somebody is spending too much OVERTIME in the office trying to make this thing sound legit. As in trying too hard. I don't even think we see this kind of article with Brad & Angelina. Or Jen & John.

Awful Truth October 18, 2007

Bumps in the Day

Jake Gyllenhaal sure as hell lives to get the gossies in gonzo overdrive. Why, just this week, right after J.G. did Letterman, all shy 'n’ stuff, he pulls the same don’t-look-at me routine down in the Village—almost.

Desk Stealth just followed J.G. and his gorgeous amigo, a dead ringer for Austin Nichols (would just go ahead and say it was A.N. here, but, like, maybe Jakey’s pullin’ a Natalie Portman, choosing to hang with an Austin doppelgänger just to throw us snit-snoops off the mark?) for several blocks. Too fun for the ab-perf tum! D.S. embarked on an intrepid block-by-block Jake-athon, stealing close behind just for us, too kind.

“They could have walked to the ferry, and I still would have followed them,” admits our pavement detective, so refreshingly honest (see, always loved those NY types, this is only one reason why). “All the while, they kept walking close to each other, like they were purposely trying to bump into each other, ya know what I mean?”

We do, you baddie bro, we do! So, do continue:

“At one point they had their heads briefly touching each other,” D.S. practically breathlessly relayed. “A short time after that came the friend's arm around Jake and the whisper to the ear. Then, the whole block before they got to West 12th Street," said the onlooker, J.G. & A.N. did a little digital dance. "Oh so cute!”

Deliciously so! But wait. We simply have to get ahold of ourselves here. See, before you nasty naughties out there start cackling, like, totally inappropriate things here, can’t two guys show affection for each other (just like women do) without people going to all sorts of kooky conclusions? Not to mention their publicists' speed dials…

I mean, John Travolta does it all the time! What’s the biggie?

Denim Addendum: “Both had on blue jeans wrapped around perfect butts,” added our boyish spy, above, for the really important deets. Jake’s dude-pal/whatever “probably had the better butt,” sassed our unsubtle source. “It was slightly rounder, and his jeans fit a bit more snuggly.”

Sorry, Jakey, I know how it feels. I’m still smarting from the time Defamer blabbed I have no behind. So not true! I took a pic and showed the hateful folks how wrong they were, will you please now do the same for us?

He isn't the independent talented actor that I used to admire. What he's doing now shows me his acting isn't so great as I believed or as people in the industry thought. If it was, he wouldn't be subjecting himself to this crap to get work.

I think this Reeke lingerie story, the Mile High story and the Kirsten sex in a changing room story were all PR planted. The Myla bag in the London pics show the strategy was planned beforehand. No matter how silly these sex stories are, the only purpose is to make people believe they have sex and convince the bearding is real.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted looking sweet and stylish shopping in London this week. Jake is wearing the cashmere striped scarf from the INHABIT Fall Collection.

Looking at INHABIT locations - they only sell in the states (according to their website) - now maybe it was a stylist who got the scarf and made it work for him, but it is interesting that they are most of their retailers who carry the brand are in CA and NY.

Do you think he might have picked it up that trip to NYC that he got and now has to pay for it in PR ops with Reese ?

And remember there is usually heavy PR when you need to cover something. You got go big to cover something big.

Wasn't that like around this time last year too?

I still think Jake is a talented actor. But planting fake stories about your sex life in a tabloid sure smacks of D-List behavior. Never in a million years would I have thought we'd see Jake doing something like this.

Whaaaaa? Wow, that's incredible, Clarity. I guess I don't have to tell you, then, what kind of money you save by not paying for the insurance, the tires every 4 years, the oil changes, the transmission oil changes, the brakes, the gas, all of that garbo that goes with owning a car. Not to mention avoiding the irritation of drivers cutting you off, forcing their way into the distance between you & the car in front, the ones who don't drive with their lights on when it's barely pre-dawn, the tailgaters, the ones who cut in front of everybody when the lanes narrow down for construction, lollll! And after going over all of that, you really don't miss it, do you? I'm really amazed. I don't know anyone who doesn't have a car. But this isn't NYC or Chicago either. Both cities have such a huge mass transit system.

Chris, I know how you feel. This is really sinking to a new low. What on earth is going on with that guy? He's sold out totally.

And I would agree now that sometimes it does take something big to cover something big. But I don't think one needs to sell their soul. And that's what he's doing. Because he must have known what that boutique bag was going to result in.

All I can say is, the more tangled up their little web gets, somebody's going to trip up. The more they beat their little drum, one of these days, somebody's drumstick is going to pick a big ol' hole right in the timpani head and it's not going to be pretty.

prairiegirl said...

Never owned a car? That is astounding. Holy cow. So do you all just save your quarters to ride the bus & the mass transit? They probably have month passes, I'm sure. That's great. Very Green, you all!!! Kudos to you!

You know, here in the KC metro, they can't even get a mass transit system going. You go down the interstates and it's one person per car at rush hour. We don't even have car pool lanes. Car pooling? Not very popular around here. It's every man for himself, LOL! It's pretty sad, really.

No you sure dont PG and Im lovin every bit of it ; )

Unfortunately I agree with you Chris and D-list.

I haven't had a car in over 20 years, it would be madness to have one in NYC. And really, the only time I miss having one is on those occassional days when I think it'd be nice to hop in a car and get out of the city for the day, or go to the suburbs to do some shopping. There are many things I miss about living out West, but commuting by car is not one of them.

Prairie Girl, thanks for the good

Hey Kacieee! Great to see you; hope you are continuing to feel better and getting over your illness, eh? Must be if you are brave enough to tackle spring (fall) cleaning! I should be doing that while I'm on the big V.

Man, what is this everyone who doesn't own cars or has one but rarely uses it, lol? I feel like a minority. Who would ever think there'd be so many? You can tell I sure live in Suburbia USA. I think that's great, tho. So Green-minded.

You know, some of these quotes/stories from the other blogs seems to indicate to me that for all Reeke's trying, they're still not convincing alot of people. Talk about banging your head against the wall and not knowing when to quit.

Thanks Kacie for reminding me of that scene in BBM; it really made me smile.

I think Jake is just fulfilling his part of the bearding contract now that Reese's film is coming out & she's promoting herself as gorgeous & uh, blessed! Afterall, she helped him to get PoP.
When you really look at it, they have never said they were a couple, it's all insinuation and tabloid crap. I wonder why that is. Is it because they don't want the embarrassment of getting caught out or is it because of toothy's private, private life? I think it's a combination of both.

Anonymous said...

Reese seems to be going all out to promote her latest bomb. If she allowed Vogue to put "Her new man" on the cover, then they are stating Reeke being a couple. All of these stupid stories coming out-apartment hunting, dressing room strip shows, etc. just prove how desperate Reese is to get some attention her way. And remember, Jake is a willing participant of Reeke. He was smiling in the pics just like Reese was. As much as I hate to say, looks like there's no end in sight for Reeke. My love for Jake is dying a little more everyday. Soon, there won't be anymore love or respect for him left.

I'll go with OMG if they change directions but i won't support Jake with his duplicity and I certainly won't see anything of Reeses or buy anything she's selling. I didn't see Rendition because of Reeke and I won't see Brothers Nailed or POP either.

Anonymous said...

I guess we will be bombarded with this PR drivel until that movie is released and bombs. At least it is so transparent, it takes some of the edge off. Jake walked the merchandise to the counter but let her pay for it? Hey, PR, you made another mistake. That is a dead give-away that they are just friends.

Yes, Prairie Girl I have indeed read Zero to the Bone, more than once, but don't recall that song. It' one of the best fan fics out there. By the way, have you read Tainted Evidence? Another one I really liked.

Oh no, not Brian Kinney (Gale Harold). Motorcycles are just too dangerous. From more recent reports sounds like he will be OK.

Finally, thanks to whoever covered for me at 12:43. That was me but running late for work and must have left off my name.

Duplicity: deceitfulness in speech or conduct; speaking or acting in two different ways concerning the same matter with intent to deceive; double-dealing.

^^ If Reese and Jake have anything in common, its their middle name.

prairiegirl said...

Judy_Garland, that remains to be seen. I don't think anyone has a crystal ball to say what's going to happy in the next 12 months, let alone the next 3. Heck, as of last March, who could've guessed that this charade would've sunk to the low depths of a store dressing room Burlesque show with purple panties & push up bra. It's desperate enough to use Atticus as a ring bearer and constant California sidewalk companion in the absence of Mr. Witherspoon. But to try and sound like a hot hoochie mama in addition to trying to also appear as a classy Southern dame sinks to a low that is nothing short of just plain shameless and embarrassing.

And when posters have to struggle to find one iota of respect left for Mr. Witherspoon, it will indeed be a sad day. And I'm sure he could care less. He is showing where his treasure is and what is important to him. His true colors are beginning to reveal themselves and it's not a good palette. It's ugly.

There's no need to gloat. There's no need to kick someone when they're down. I don't know why some of you are wasting your time here today. Why in the heck aren't you on a website that supports your views & your recent triumphs? That's where I would be if I held your same beliefs. I would not be wasting my breath on people who really don't give a flip or believe what you do. That is such a waste of energy. And as you can see, you're not getting a whole lot of reaction. This bar is closed tonight so you may as well drink the rest of your longneck and call it a night.

And no, this one here is not admitting defeat or changing my beliefs. I have nothing but just honest disappointment & heartache for someone who obviously puts money and peer/society approval above personal integrity and honesty.

And, heck, tomorrow could be an entirely different day if the good Lord sees fit for me to rise in the a.m. and see it. But today? It's been pretty rough. I ain't going to hide it. Not going to pretend that this whole thing hasn't been like a kick in the stomach. So go ahead & take your next best shot and then why not just go on to the next bar. Cause there's no need to stick around for a one-person audience. This one is leaving to go hit the hay.

m,

You better believe I've read Tainted Evidence. Isn't that one just one of the best? I told her that her wit was one of the absolute sharpest I've ever read. And there's a scene in another fanfiction, I can't think of it right off hand, where Jack & Ennis go into an elevator and in that elevator, they come across "Jack from Tainted Evidence", complete with messenger bag and he's talking to someone on his cellphone and his conversation ends with "Constable". Man, I wish I could recall which story it was, but it was a definite crossover. Absolutely blew my mind.

Hey Judy, do you know how many gay men I know who have been married. Some for a very long time with several children. Too many, that's how many. I also know way more gay men that have had girlfriends than gay men who have never been with a woman.

prairiegirl said...

Oh my gosh, I just saw a big typo. happy = happen. LOLLL!

m,
After consulting my copy of Zero to the Bone, I quickly located it in Chapter 15. It's when Jack & Ennis are getting ready to work in the weed-filled garden of Ennis' place where they go to hide out. Ennis tells Jack "I never promised you a rose garden" and Jack says something like "Did you just make a joke?" It was a cute moment.

Sorry to disappoint the trolls, babblers, and pr, but I'm pretty sure OMG plans on being around for a long time.

I hope so, Destiny. I mean, I do feel a little drained & beat up today, but the fight isn't quite gone. It's been pummeled quite a bit, LOL, but it's not totally gone. Gotta admit, I felt alot spunkier yesterday than I do tonight.

But hey. Tomorrow's another day and one never knows what is around the corner. There's no way to tell. And I'll say it again. If those 2 & their crew continue to toot their horn the way they are, someone's going to lean too far over the edge and blow it. Because they're carrying on just like a dumb criminal. Criminals who like to get the notriety (sp?) & attention, will keep stepping up the ante until they mess up. It's inevitable. And that's right where Reeke is headed if they don't cool it.

Anonymous said...

Glad to hear OMG will be around as I will be here too. It make take a long time, but I do think Jake and Austin will eventually come out. Look at Clay Aiken. The older you get, the more unwilling you are to not be yourself. Jake is still only 27, and a bit immature to boot. Give him a few years.

Anonymous said...

I always thought the type of fans a celeb has reflects on them. Here we like Austin and Jake and from what I've seen we all are for the most part keep to ourselves, have a sense of humor, are observant, calm, confident, honest, admit we don't know and have no proof on some things, accept other views, definitely not stupid, big picture oriented, have different interests like the Spot Light, JFC and Movie month discussions, are not diehard blind followers of any one source like Ted or MK, tolerate and don't delete other opinions. I think a lot of those things are the same things Jake and Austin are. The same celeb-fan common traits goes for the Reese lovers. The Reesers reflect her overbearing bossy know-it-all personality. They come here and everywhere to preach. They gloat and throw things in people's faces whenever it seems like they won a battle. Its exactly how Reese treats the world. Those fans represent her. Whats funny and sad is they're rude, self-centered and pushy just like her and they just don't see it, just like how she doesn't see it in herself.

(((OMG)))

It sure has been a tough one, but I'm like those old Timex watches, I just keep on ticking. And I hope that goes for everyone else. PG, M and Chris you've all made some very good points tonight. And now I'm going to head off while I'm ahead. Goodnight all.

Anonymous said...

The only way I will ever believe Reeke is real is if they both say it - no ambiguous comments in articles, left for the reader to fill in the blanks - a direct quote in an article or an interview - yes, I am with him/her. Not the writer's leading questions and a vague answer. He used to be politically aware, had opinions, cared about family and friends, didn't appear shallow and status conscious. Now, he's none of those things, actually it's hard to tell what he is, except for terribly immature and Reese's foil.

prairiegirl said...

Well, there's still an inch in me that wants to give him a break, but then someone will mention his smiling participation in that infamous London sidewalk jaunt and everytime it reminds me that he is as much to blame anymore.

Now, is it possible he is starting to drag his feet, if what Neal Sean says is true on that part of the conversation that he overheard. Could be. Still doesn't excuse the willing participation in that Classic Photo Op that was the London cakewalk.

Well, I think this ol' gal's going to hit the hay. Had a bit of a second wind when several of you night owl's popped up, lol!

Now as long as the new neighbor gal & her boyfriend don't wake me up at 2 a.m. again like they did last week, squeaking the mattress & banging the headboard on the wall. I kid you not, they did it all. The time before that, she was hollarin to beat the band but without the furniture accompaniment. Lol! And immediately following? The ol' shower. You know, the least they could do is carry it on a little bit longer than they do & give me a chance to fully wake up & enjoy the earful. Ahh, apartment living; you've gotta love it.

Sweet dreams, everybody; Nite to you, Destiny, Brooklyn Bridge, Chris & dearest m. And hugs to OMG from myself as well.

I read somewhere that with a little planning anyone can rob a bank and get away with it. But only once. Do it more than once and you'll get caught because they'll be on to you and know how you operate. Reeke robbed the bank once, in Rome. They should have quit while they were ahead but they made the fatal mistake: they got greedy. By now we all know what their modus operandi is, their weapons of choice, their exact timing and their routines. We can even predict with 90% accuracy when and which place will be the next one they hit. They'll trip themselves up eventually, just you wait.

To me, you have one choice. Do you

him? Wicked and Special K, do you
believe that Ted would make up lies for his column-in other words
use his imigination? What is your
personal opinion of this? I will
keep up with Jake's career but I
just hope it goes good. For myself, I have become quite the
fan of Austin! It is like the old
saying-I think that people have
more things to worry about in
everyday life! Whatever happens,
I wish Jake and Austin the best
in their lives!

Afterall, she helped him to get PoP.

Reese can't get a decent project for herself, she isn't in position to help Jake, and he didn't get PoP because of bearding either.

October 19, 2006

Also, there's hope, I want you all to know, for Mr. Tile's movie career. Dare I say some of his future film projects are looking up, because, uh, how can I put this? T.T. has decided to start sleeping with better-looking people now to get his future projects—is that being too crass about it all?

In other words, for T.T.'s next 40-foot-wide job, Tooth-doll not only seduced the man who would decide the whole-deal shebang (it's sort of a studly adventure story, in so many ways), he now shares cocaine, hotel suites and party favors with the bigwig. Isn't that sweet when one can stay bestest amigos with one's ladder-climbing bed partners?

Warms my jaded-ass heart.

He will play a movie director who takes interest in making Lucas' book into a movie, according to some reports. It was previously reported that actor Austin Nichols would join the show to play the indie movie producer who expresses interest in turning Lucas' first novel into a film.

It looks like Ted had known about a PoP future production long before general public did.

I've been thinking about the tabloid crap and I just can't imagine Ledger doing the same thing if he was alive. I'm not saying Heath was a saint but can you imagine a lingerie story about Heath? I, personally, can't conjure up the cover of OK magazine saying "HEATH MOVIES IN!" about him and a girlfriend. He hated this shit. He was obscenely gorgeous, rough, honest and talented. I like Jake, he's beautiful and talented, too, I'm not dissing him by praising Heath. It's just now I can see how different they were, how Hollywood Jake is and how Heath wasn't the part of the game. He wanted to be an actor, not a star and an A-lister.

Do you know why babblers and reekers keep coming here? They keep asking all these questions, like "Do you have any evidence?", etc. because deep in their hearts they are not sure themselves what to think of the whole Jake and Reese situation. They ask and secretly hope for us to find the answer to all their fears that maybe, just maybe, Jake Gyllenhaal is not completely, 100% straight. Something is off with this relationship and everyone who has at least a bit of intuition and common sense can feel it.
